Heard he is deferring his announcement today and needs a few more days to decide, which simply means NIL offers being leveraged in today’s world. However, hard to predict with these kids. Hard to imagine a better fit when Billy is the former WR coach at Bama who put kids in the NFL and the WR coach is a former star WR I’m college, draft pick, played in NFL and has also put kids in the NFL, including the top WR drafted this year

Does anyone have thoughts regarding Sorey's place on our board? Haven't seen his clips for a while but he seemed to have a similar skill set and athleticism as Mizzell.

Who do we want at WR who is currently showing interest in UF? I'm assuming we have up to three more spots.

Sorey is behind all of Mizell, Jean, Williams, Wilson, etc. on the board. He's not a high target at all really.

At this point, being unable to land Mizell, Wilson and one of Jean/Williams would be a catastrophic failure for the staff. Those first two are as close to layups as a recruit can be.

There’s no layups when it comes to nil.

I mean, yeah, but whiffing on Mizell would be a disaster. NIL or not, you can't spin missing on him.

especially after “pushing out” someone with similar skillset last cycle (size and speed combo) in CJ Smith

I thought we had some really good WR commits last year before things imploded. They ended up at UGA, Bama and OU, so must have been well thought of

Meh, not really going to get all that worked up over that one. Cook was never coming here.

Better to use our time/resources on more realistic targets.

Always so hard to determine whether something like this is good news or bad news. Did something good happen where we don’t feel like we have to stretch to try to convince an out of state WR to come here, or did he just lose interest in us. The world may never know.

This is WHY those, "Post-Signing Day" background videos coming from reliable Gator sources is sooo nice.
We get to find out the back stories as to why someone did or did not commit to us.

Cook is being personally recruited by Kiffin. He was a guy you had to kick the tires on. If UF finishes with Wilson, Mizell and Williams or Jean we should be happy. Soreyis still a good option as well

Don't know much about Jean. Is he an outside guy like Mizell and Williams?

I realize Eugene Wilson is a priority target/household name but I never watched his highlights until last night. WOW!

He does everything for his team and he excels no matter where they put him. His balance is insane!! He could easily play D or O ... and will definitely bring value as a PR or KR.

If he can gain some weight he could be All SEC.

He's very exciting. It'll be interesting to see how they fit both Wilson and Whittemore into the offense since they're so similar. Wilson certainly has better hands at this stage but Whittemore is bigger and a teensy bit more explosive. If the Gators run any shotgun in the new offense, Creed is the man. As good as Wilson is on defense, I can't see him moving there unless the CB class falls apart. The two of them could become our top return specialists.

You sound confident Wilson will be a Gator. I hope so ... it eases the sting of losing Bond last year.

Maybe next year we can find an "Evan Stewart" type.

He's been listed as 100% to UF for months. Haven't heard of any other programs making progress with him, though there might be stuff going on behind the scenes.
