Crude Oil Higher; OPEC Production Deal in Focus (msn.com)
Capping the gains is a report from the Wall Street Journal which suggests the solidarity of the ‘OPEC+’ alliance is starting to fray.

The newspaper reported on Tuesday that some Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries members are considering ‘exempting’ Russia from the production deal, given it’s struggling to maintain output and exports in the face of increasing sanctions.

This suggests the group’s senior members--Saudi Arabia and the UAE are the two with spare capacity--are uncomfortable with a level of prices that will cause demand destruction and accelerate the shift away from oil.

“This potentially opens the door for other OPEC+ members to increase output more aggressively,” said analysts at ING, in a note. “However in reality, given that most members have failed to hit their output targets consistently for several months, it will likely be a struggle for the group as a whole to increase output more aggressively.”

OPEC+ is set to hold its monthly meeting on Thursday.

I think there's multiple things going on between the packages, Lend/Lease, and outright selling. Maybe this is part of Lend/Lease?

Yes, and if it’s lend/lease, then that equipment will have to be returned at war’s end in the same condition that it was lent ;)

Ok so prior one removed figured out how to edit the bad stuff.

This was on one of the tweets about how Russia was talking about invading other countries and had talked about war with the US.

Sounds like some of the Israeli assassination attempts, or maybe Walter White was taking on Nazis with a machine gun in the trunk

hoping for a quick ending from here on out although he deserves to suffer. hopefully the stress of this invasion accelerates his decline.

Ukraine claimed that he had survived an assassination attempt and now it appears US intel has confirmed that.

Putin had ‘advanced cancer treatment in April’ according to US intelligence (msn.com)

Vladimir Putin received treatment for 'advanced cancer' in April, US intelligence sources have claimed.
The Russian president's health has been under intense scrutiny since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine amid footage of him looking bloated, with trembling hands and reports of mysterious disappearances. It has also been claimed the leader is constantly accompanied around the Kremlin by a team of doctors

Now, a report put together by US intelligence officials claims Putin underwent treatment for 'advanced cancer' in April. The assessment, prepared for the Whitehouse, also says the Russian leader survived an assassination attempt in March, three experts who have seen the report told Newsweek. The high-ranking officials said Putin is increasingly paranoid about his hold on power which may be influencing his orders in Ukraine (Picture: Reuters)

The US intelligence reports come after fresh rumors Putin is suffering from pancreatic cancer have emerged in Russia. One source of the rumors, Mark Kotlyarsky, claimed the pancreatic cancer diagnosis was confirmed to him by both Kremlin and medical informers in Moscow. 'Putin was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer - a malignant aggressive tumor, which is characterized by uncontrolled growth of glandular and epithelial tissues in the excretory ducts of the organ,' Mr Kotlyarsky, a former soviet, now Israeli journalist posted online. 'Moreover, most likely, the disease progresses so much that the operation, if it prolongs life, [will not do so] for long. According to sources, we are talking about a maximum of three-to-four months.' However, other claims made by Mr Kotlyarsky including that a section of a major Moscow hospital had been readied and cleared of patients in preparation for Putin have been found to be false. Mr Kotlyarsky had claimed 'one of the buildings of the Blokhin Centre has been urgently mobilized' with Putin expected for 'a procedure called paracentesis or puncture of the abdominal cavity'. But no signs of unusual activity have been seen at the Blokhin Cancer Research Centre in the city

It makes you wonder what kind of monster will step into the post-Putin vacuum. Hopefully the infighting among groups is so bad they lose their focus on Ukraine.

It’s okay to lose land. You can get that back later. You can’t recover lost time or lost lives. Trading space for both while costing Russia both is exactly what Ukraine should be doing. Bend but don’t break.

he’s correct on Estonia giving most aid as percentage of gdp (3rd chart down in link below).

As expected US gives most total $ in aid. By far. Like 3x everyone else combined

Yes, they do. And we are long past needing to talk a little right back to them and China. I understand the concept of speaking softly and carrying a big stick, but we also need to remember the informational aspects of this war. So far, all of our actual language suggests that we aren’t dangerous and we’re going to do whatever it takes to get out of Russia and China’s way in order to avoid conflict. We need to put pressure on both that the onus for avoiding conflict is on them, not us, and to remind them that we are the more dangerous adversary in any war, much as we don’t want one. One example I used earlier in the thread was when China threatened us with a “dangerous situation” over Taiwan the other day. It’s not hard to respond on the order of “We are reassured that China appreciates that any invasion of Taiwan would be a very dangerous situation for them. That is why we are committed to a One-China Policy as long as China remains committed to a peaceful resolution of its issues with Taiwan.” Same thing when Russia drops threatening language like this: “We believe Russia is far too wise to make war on the United States and its NATO allies. Russia understands the unfavorable force correlation, and it has seen first hand the quality of NATO weapons. Our policy continues to be to support Ukraine’s sovereignty with material assistance only at this time.
