Denver's Lynnzee Brown has announced she is coming back for a 6th season after she tore her Achilles heel for a second time early in the 22 season:

BREAKING: Denver’s Lynnzee Brown Announces Sixth Year – College Gym News

Denver just got a lot better in 23. Brown is one of the best gymnasts in the nation when healthy.

After the 23 season she plans on getting ready to make a run at the Paris Olympics. Good luck to her. She has had a run of bad luck with her Achilles heel injuries.

I'm not sure if this is an Instagram or TikTok post, but this gives me the impression that THE Trinity will be back for 1 more year!

Glad to see Halley Taylor coming back after missing last season injured.

The great news will be Trinity Thomas, Savannah Schoenherr, and Nya Reed if they so choose.

Bolded really do have some unfinished business.

I'm going out on a limb with my predictions:

    Trinity Thomas - Coming Back
    Nya Reed - Coming Back
    Savannah Schoenherr - Leaving

Trinity has an NIL contract plus I read elsewhere that someone said she was awarded $10,000 for an academic scholarship. She could be back and not taking a ship spot.

Nya Reed has already posted that she has unfinished business.

Savannah Schoenherr seems to have moved on based on what others are saying about what she has been posting.

My surprise additional prediction is UF will get 5th year senior Norah Flatley in transfer for one year from UCLA. There are pictures of Flatley graduating this week. Trinity retweeted those pictures while on vacation just yesterday. Surprise!

We'll see soon enough. I've also read a couple of times that someone may be transferring out so she can break into a lineup elsewhere. I'm not saying a name as it is strictly a rumor, not a well circulated rumor at that.

On the recruiting front, I'm far from feeling certain that UF will see Shilese Jones come to UF. Everything I've seen posted about her shows her working elite with no mentions of her coming to UF. Dr. Sam said 6 months ago that she is coming, but the news has slowed to nothing about her coming to UF.

JaFree Scott who was committed to UF signed with Georgia.

Sophia Butler who is just now graduating high school is no longer showing as a Gator commitment.

Kayla DiCello and Lori Brubach are the two known incoming freshmen gymnasts.

Jenny decided not to give JaFree Scott a scholarship after she had not competed for nearly two years due to various injuries is what I heard. And I read Shilese was still planning on coming to UF. Her father passed away during her senior year in high school and did not graduate with her class.

Here is the link to Florida's roster and commitments for 2023-2024. It lists Shilese as "Entry Year Uncertain" under 2023. And Florida still has 4 more scholarships to give.

The same thing happened to Auburn incoming freshman Olivia Greaves who Jenny let go because she was often injured over 2 years and seldom was able to perform. I hope things work out good for Olivia with Auburn, just not too good for the Auburn team which will likely be better in 23 than in 22.

I know about Shilese Jones' father passing away and was sorry to see that last December, but she is turning 20 in July and she is currently concentrating on Elites. Her actions look to me that she may be preparing for a run at Paris rather than becoming a college gymnast. Believe me when I say I hope you are right. She looks a lot like Trinity on bars.

The 2024 list of recruits is spot on, but 2023 Sophia Butler is listed as undecided on this site under her bio and is listed as undecided with USA Gymnastics too.

Looking at 2023 without Butler and Jones (unqualified and/or concentrating on elites), UF could have 5 or 6 slots left for 2023. That being the case, UF has room on the roster for those returning plus additions.

Hope this is good news for UF in that we are returning everyone plus have room for Shilese Jones and Sophia Butler.

    MORE NORAH ❤️ : Gymnastics (reddit.com)

Norah Flatley will be with Arkansas for her 5th year of collegiate competition. At least we will be able to watch her on Friday nights in the SEC even if with a competitor.

Is it too early to see if any of our super seniors are enrolled in Summer B?

All 3 of their most recent Instagram posts (as of last week) show them vacationing. The Trinity looks like she's somewhere in the Caribbean. But it could have been while school was on breaK? Also, when I began my Master's studies at another school (I earned my Bachelor's degree at UF), my only options to start were Fall or Spring. Maybe it's the same at UF?

Kayla Dicello may be taking the same track as Leanne Wong:

kayla dicello back at NTC with konnor : Gymnastics (reddit.com)

Leanne enrolled in August, took online classes while training elite for Worlds, and then joined the team after the World Championships where she finished second.

Kayla DiCello may be doing the same track as Leanne Wong. Kayla finished third at the World Championships last year. Apparently, she is training elite at this time.

Unless I’m being paid millions of dollars to turn pro or think leaving allows me to train more effectively for the Olympic trials, I’m taking advantage of all the free college I can and attempting to get both my Undergrad and Graduate degrees while in college. Education is the real differentiator in life for most that are not born into wealth. To graduate with multiple degrees without student loan debt is a tremendous accomplishment and advantage at this time.

I see her left ankle is still wrapped. I'm wondering if she will be able to get back to all-around or if the ankle will only allow her to perform on the bars and beam. I guess we'll see in the 23 season.
