If all studies keep showing the efficacy of said drug to significantly reduce the risk of hospitalization and death, then yes, it's a good idea. Still waiting for that study that shows the vaccine doesn't reduce the risk of hospitalization and death.

Keep boosting if it is for you…

There is enough data and real life to see how poor these drugs are working right now.

It is baffling they have not put the BA2 spike protein out there in these things.

So poor, like creating a 3X chance at reducing hospitalization for all ages. And the WA state data that shows for elderly, 8X protection from death. If this is poor, what's your definition of good? Protects and gives super powers?

More of the vaccinated, boosted winding up in NC's hospitals with COVID. Why? (msn.com)

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) - It's been a cornerstone message during the pandemic recovery: Get the COVID-19 vaccine, and you are much less likely to wind up in a hospital.

But according to the latest numbers from state public health leaders, that might not be as true as it used to be: In North Carolina's hospitals, fully vaccinated people now nearly outnumber the unvaccinated.

The phenomenon also is showing up in other states, and one leading infectious disease specialist has a simple explanation for it - and in no way is it an indictment of how effective the shots are.

"We don't want this to sound like the vaccine doesn't work," said Dr. David Weber, an infectious disease specialist at the University of North Carolina's School of Medicine.

According to the most recent numbers from the state Department of Health and Human Services, a total of 52 percent of COVID patients in hospitals were at least fully vaccinated.

When NCDHHS started releasing that breakdown in late January, unvaccinated people accounted for nearly 70 percent of hospitalized patients.

But two weeks ago, there were more people in hospitals who had been vaccinated than who hadn't been.

And the rate of boosted people going to hospitals has more than quadrupled since January - with nearly a quarter of the hospitalized now having at least one extra shot.

It's obvious that the covid shot(not a vaccine) hasn't been working well. I truly don't understand how any logical person still wants to keep getting jabbed every 4 months. My brother and his family of 5 all received the covid shot and 3 of them caught covid again about a month ago, his wife was sick for almost 3 weeks. He said none of them will be getting another shot. He's also a big believer in the flu shot and they still get the flu.
My parents also got the vaccine but decided against the booster shots since so many keep getting sick.
I don't care if a person wants to get a covid jab or not, that's their choice just like it's mine not to take the jab

Raw number Do not break down the data by age and risk factors and doesn’t address being boosted. Nor does it address vaccination rates on the community. The higher the rate the more likely a hospitalized
Person would be vaxed. Vaccination status does not increase risk. Age controlled data shows the vaccines clearly work, as does the Canadian control groups study.

Raw numbers are meaningless when age and vaccination numbers by age are major factors. What percentage of the NC population is fully vaxxed? (62%) What is the breakdown of vaccinated by age? Hospitalizations by age? Do this analysis, and then see if by age and vaccine status, if the vaccine doesn't keep people out of the hospital as multiple studies show.

Good advice. The Boosters work. Multiple studies showing that boosters in infection naive people or vaccine following infection confer greater protection. Here is another one. Looks like your statements that the vaccines don’t work against Omicron are just more disinformation.
3rd dose of COVID mRNA vaccine expands memory and capacity of immune system to combat Omicron What I wonder about is what the motivation is for you and others to spread information that is bad for people?

Some people are attention needy and don't care what kind of attention they are getting as long as people are looking at them. Even if what they are doing to get attention is hazardous to the health of others.

I don’t believe taking a drug designed for the ancestral variant makes sense at this point. Way too many red flags along the way as well.

I supported these drugs for the high risk groups that did not have natural immunity at the beginning. Then with control groups continue working toward better options. We chose all chips in using a now archaic drug that even with the attempted narrative they say it shows efficacy wane quickly. I think it was the Israeli study that said the 4th booster worked blah blah blah. And based on the day after it looked to be amazing. But the flaw was glaring. And after a couple of weeks there was no difference. A flawed study to push a narrative.

If boosting is for you. By all means. I certainly am at the point now where I would not recommend one of these drugs to any family or friends unless their doctor insisted and gave them the confidence that it was the right decision.

In simple terms. It is nothing more than a cold at this point to the young and healthy. A bad flu to the elderly and high risk groups. Really is infuriating that we do not have a second generation drug out there with all these off shoots from omicron. But hey…some people are drug first mind sets. That is fine. It is just not necessary for a large group of people.

So, it is part of your belief system. Even in the face of evidence it works.

The evidence shows it does not work. But if using flawed studies makes you feel better and not asking why we had new drug designed for the alpha spike protein out there in 9 months and cannot figure out how to put the omicron/BA2/BA4 (new variant of concern)/etc into the mRNA delivery system…we just see this differently.

Met with my doctor and asked his thoughts on a 2nd booster. He said he was not encouraging his patients to get a 2nd booster unless they are traveling out of the country or have plans to be in contact with someone that is immune compromised. Said its probably best to just wait for the 'new and improved' vaccine in the fall.

the evidence shows it works. Against Omicron. You literally did not read the studies. And this corroborates multiple studies. And No link showing the alleged flaws of any of the studies. So, it is your opinion on the fact of evidence. I truly hope nobody listens to you, but, sadly, we see the evidence to the contrary

@vaxcardinal…this was clear sarcasm by g8trjax.

Doctors are seeing what is going on. They still have to tread carefully through the disingenuous narrative being pushed. They know that a study without the proper control group and proper randomization is garbage. They also know what big pharma and the media is selling as a narrative. It makes it very hard to explain things to the normal patient. Not one “vaccine booster for everyone” poster here will even address the fact that we had a new delivery mechanism in mRNA pushed to market with the spike protein of the ancestral disease in 9 months. They call it safe. Yet we don’t have the omicron version yet which just by common sense would work better against the sub variants of omicron. This is what happens when the wrong decision was made. Now they are so far in and they know they screwed up the way things should of gone and have quadrupled down on the terrible messaging.

But hey…they can and should boost away if they wish. Really not necessary.

What is false about what he said? Or are you implying that keyboard jockeys have more knowledge?

There are multiple studies, published in the most prestigious medical publications like the NEJM and The Lancet, but since Q doesn't like the data being presented, he calls them all garbage! Hmm. Whom to believe? Multiple scientific, peer reviewed studies, published in scientific journals? Ot a keyboard warrior who has no data to back up what he's saying?
