"Tell me how football games (we had to postpone a basketball game) kept being cancelled with well over 90% vaccination rates

These drugs did not work as advertised!"

We can only read the words that are posted. Poster did not note "team vax rate". Be better.

They are not. If you can’t see the fact the vaccinated get and spread this just as easily as the unvaccinated and the that high risk groups (vaccinated/unvaccinated) are the ones dying and dealing with severe illness I can’t help you.

Of all things we have some solid examples thanks to coercion by sports leagues.

Still await proof of poster's claim : "But an overweight vaccinated person is at more risk than a healthy unvaccinated person."

    You know.

And to ignore the most blatant and known reality that the NHL with every player but one fully vaccinated having to shut down. LOL!

The question is not whether they were or not. So you are still not answering the question. Given that you are a native English speaker, it is apparent that you are avoiding the question that was asked. The question was what would be proof that they are working (again, not whether that threshold has been met or not). Can you please answer that question?

Poster makes factual claims from examples, and unfounded assertions and fails to use actual data. Then ironically when called to produce evidence claims: "The data speaks."
Perhaps giver us a link to verify that the sports teams made their scheduling changes due to vaccinations and not, oh.. say economics and other variables.
The unvaxed spread covid faster and longer as proven numerous times. Quit misrepresenting to suit your narrative. Everyone sees this: "that high risk groups (vaccinated/unvaccinated) are the ones dying and dealing with severe illness" The truth posters' narrative lacks is that the unvaxed deal with covid at higher rates.

Excellent point about vaccine hesitancy. The same poster who laments vaccine hesitancy, promotes vaccine hesitancy by denying the proven benefits of the vaccines, while railing against them.

So, even if the vaccines have saved hundreds of thousands of lives, you think they "don't work" because they are not 100% effective against transmission. That's nuts. No vaccine is 100% effective.

From the beginning, the vaccines were intended to reduce serious illness, hospitalizations and deaths due to Covid. They have done so.

The Executive Summary at the link below provides 4 goals for Covid vaccination . . . .

"In this document we discuss the following four potential goals of COVID-19 vaccination: reduction of pressure on the healthcare system; reduction of overall COVID-19 severity and mortality; re-opening of society; and disease elimination."

The vaccines have been effective in achieving the first three goals, despite the fact that millions didn't cooperate by getting vaccinated. Scientists are still researching ways to improve the vaccines' effectiveness against transmission.

I remember when the chicken pox vaccine came out I was unsure if my kids needed it. Chicken Pox resolves typically in about 2 weeks. So why get it? Well the reason is a kid is out of school and daycare for two weeks. That means a parent needs to be home with them for two weeks. Chickenpox cut productivity in this country by billions of dollars. The idiots who are still antivaxxers are just being stupid to be stupid.

Do you really need a link?

"Monday’s decision comes just a day after the NHL and the league’s player association (NHLPA) announced that they will attempt to continue the season instead of halting it. As part of that announcement, the NHL said it would cancel all travel between the U.S. and Canada during the holiday break, leading to the postponement of several games. Ten of the league’s 32 teams had already shut down their facilities on Monday. At present, more than 15% of the league’s 700-plus players are under Covid-19 protocols, implying they either returned a positive or inconclusive result in a Covid-19 test."

Need a link to show only one player was unvaccinated when the decision was made? Article is from December 19...

NHL: Red Wings' Tyler Bertuzzi chirped for being unvaccinated (yahoo.com)

As of January 18...73% of the fully vaccinated players had tested positive for Covid.

If you think these drugs worked well for anything other than alpha...you are not trying to sift through the data. You just follow the propaganda.

And yet, you can't even name a falsifiable metric that would determine whether the vaccine was effective.

Someone who questions these new drugs is not an antivaxxer. I am quite ticked off that we have created a future vaccine hesitancy problem because we pushed these new drugs unnecessarily. Yet the virtue crowd seems to not understand this reality.

Some relevant information for those of you trying to convince on here:

How To Win An argument With Your Toddler

Tip 1: Simply Don’t Do It
You may be tempted to argue with your toddler — do not. We repeat: DO. NOT. It simply doesn’t work. You are an adult with a fully formed frontal cortex. They can barely form coherent sentences. You have skills like logic and reasoning on your side. They rely only on raw emotion and gut feelings. And right now, their gut hates broccoli.

    Tip 2: Bait and Switch

    Tip 3: Pick Your Battles

    Tip 4: Offer Choices

Tip 5: Take a Step Back
At this age, toddlers are governed by strong emotions with no outlet to explain or manage them, which often leads to irrational, disrespectful behavior.

Poster fails to see major reductions in mortality and hospitalization as working well. Entrenched narrative where only 100% curtailment of every variant is working well thus virtually zero NHL players dying or hospitalized can be counted as failure. Priceless.

Ever wonder why the NHL had to shut down, but all other leagues did not? Could there be a reason? If you look to science, then the answer is absolutely yes. Ice skating rinks, especially when set up with full boards for hockey games, are strong viral incubators. You have an enclosed area with 10 foot walls, and with the ice on the floor, it creates an inversion layer where air doesn't get circulated properly. This is nothing new, and why the Zamboni Company has been a leader in alternative fuel vehicles for decades, as along with viruses and bacteria, gas particles would also hang in the ice rink air, causing air quality issues.

The vaccine helped save the NHL season. Not a single player was hospitalized, and all recovered very quickly. As the data from the state of Washington shows, unvaccinated in the 12-34 year age group, unvaccinated are 4.2X likely to be hospitalized than the vaccinated.

So the vaccine isn't perfect. No vaccine is. But all data shows at all age groups, the vaccine lowers hospitalization and death rates. How this is supposed to show the vaccine isn't working is beyond my comprehension.
