Here are two, scientific studies that show just how wrong you are. First, while protection from getting sick wanes after vaccination, especially against Omicron, you still have between 30% and 60% protection from the vaccine from getting sick. While not the 90% protection against the wild type of COVID, or even 70% from Delta, 30% is not insignificant. As shown by the previously linked Canadian study proving that the unvaccinated have a greater risk of spreading COVID versus the vaccinated.

This second link shows that even with the original vaccine made for the wild type, that with Omicron, your T-cells recognize the infection and react. So even if you are infected with a breakthrough case, you are significantly more likely to have a mild case, stay out of the hospital or worse, the morgue.

These are the scientific facts about COVID. Published in peer reviewed journals, for all the world to see. The vaccines do a lot more than just provide a small, therapeutic help to maybe some, but have likely saved millions of lives world wide.

Some may have a small benefit from vaccination at best. Still an unvaccinated person with natural immunity has better protection than a vaccinated person who has yet to get Covid. And there are now studies and thoughts that some just have a natural protection from Covid.

This gets to risk and risk tolerance. We are still learning. But the idea that the mrna delivery continues to use the ancestorial variant spike protein should cause pause as these drug companies try to continue and boost people along with pushing for EUA for 6 month olds who are at basically zero risk. Why people are not questioning this and just jabbing away? I do not know. But booster away if you wish. If you are low risk. I do not see the need anymore. I use to think high risk groups should highly consider it. Now I would even question that. Not saying one should decide against it. Just should ask their doctor questions...

This is simply untrue, proven multiple times: "Some may have a small benefit from vaccination at best."
    Quit repeating false information.

Poster's next statement "Still an unvaccinated person with natural immunity has better protection than a vaccinated person who has yet to get Covid." After 1,000,000 American died from Covid, you still want to suggest getting Covid is the valid answer?
Pathetic and proven not to be the intelligent method.

We know exactly why poster didn't link the next disinformation: "And there are now studies and thoughts that some just have a natural protection from Covid".
Simply a ludicrous factor that has a statistically insignificance proven conclusively by a world-wide pandemic.

The next paragraph is usual gibberish until: "I use to think high risk groups should highly consider it. Now I would even question that." Voluminous pages of this thread have linked data that confirms the significant health benefit of vaccination for everyone, especially at risk groups.
Quit being intellectually dishonest about it.

Disagree that the propaganda is bipartisan. Referencing the science is not propaganda. Most of the disinformation is from the right. The rest of us just want everyone to pitch in to SAVE LIVES.

The disinformation is the garbage you spew. You just skipped over a Canadian study that refutes exactly what you wrote and everything you have been excreting for the last year plus. And didn’t even mention it. And went right back to your mantra. You and your ilk have cause harm to people and your attitude is the sanctimonious middle finger you give to fact and truth.

"Putting all the data together with personal experiences . . . . "

Are you a research scientist, MD or expert of any kind? Or did you stay at the Holiday Inn Express last night?

Let's see. One person backs up his info with links. The other doesn't. Hmmmm.

The problem with Natural Immunity, especially if one is unvaccinated, is acquiring NI requires you to get the virus. And if you are unvaccinated, getting the virus puts you at the highest risk among your peer group within the same age and other conditions. Being fully vaccinated significantly lowers these risks, even if you are already in a low risk age group. This is why the state of WA data shows even at young age levels, the risk of the unvaccinated ending up in the hospital for COVID is over 3X that of the vaccinated.

There is also extremely limited risk in getting the jab. Small risk of blood clot for the J&J vaccine for younger women, which is why they no longer get this vaccine. And small risk of a mild case of myocarditis in children, which can be easily mitigated by simple monitoring. And the risk of myocarditis from the jab is lower than the risk of complications from contracting the virus.

Risk and risk tolerance needs to take into account the risk/reward of the vaccine. The risks of the vaccine are minute. The reward is at all age levels, lowering the risk of getting seriously ill, or worse, dying. All while also lowering the risk of getting and spreading the virus.

The risk reward of vaccination should be obvious. Very low risk, and even among the most healthy, lowers the risk for themselves, and those around them.

Sorry but don’t be this obtuse and dumb. I am tired of the misrepresentation the vaccine only crowd peddles. I have never said it was better to Covid. I just pointed out a person who had Covid has better protection than someone who has not had Covid and is vaccinated.

    Talk about peddling untruths.

Booster away if you want. Disagree and think healthy people are at high risk.

But stop saying false things about my position.

No. I just live in reality. Handled this the best way I could to make sure my kids were sheltered from the overreacting. Done well enough to avoid Covid…

No. But I listen to them. And I piece together what they have to say along with potential biases. The ones I listen to the most are the ones that acknowledge everyone has biases including themselves.

More and more doctors are seeing the ridiculousness of how this was pushed by a small group of authoritarians.
