Round 1 today, about halfway thru the back 9 and playing very poorly. Currently sit in 10th place. 6 advance.
Wilkes continues to struggle as he has of late, and Castillo is having a horrid round as well. Biondi at even is the only guy playing decently.
Haven't played themselves out of it yet, still early. But lot of work to do.

A UF men’s golf team underperforming in the post season?

    That’s odd.

4 birdies on 18 help the cause a lot. In the locker room in 5th, may drop a little if everyone plays 18 like that.....must be an easy par 5

You would think Davidson, Charleston and Little Rock might fade over 3 rounds. Not a horrible day, but certainly didn't play up to expectations.

Team just finished 2nd round - 10 strokes better than yesterday (-4) and now in second place. Davidson, Charleston, and Little Rock did fade. Great chance to advance after tomorrow's round.

Good solid round.....and the important thing is they certainly will advance. But still giving away strokes too frequently. 3rd place in a relatively weak field, in state course, and being smoked by Vandy.
Getting the job done, but this likely isn't good enough to make the cut at nationals. Need to clean things up and be more consistent.

    I had read 6 somewhere too....but it is 5.

UF benched Wilkes for today, he has struggled lately. Good start on the front 9, UF 5 under for the round. Still in third but 15 clear of 6th place ND

Onto the back 9, solidly in third....FSU has put some distance between them and UF.
Debove for Wilkes looks good today, Lin is having an awful round and Debove at +1 is counting

Got hot early on the back, but have given it back now. Castillo with a triple bogey and Biondi with a double.

To show the disparity in the regional. 3rd place(UF) is 16 strokes out of 1st(Vandy).3rd place is 17 strokes ahead of 5th(College of Charleston).

Sloppy finish gives a few shots back, but still comfortably in 3rd to finish the tourney.
Decision to play Debove paid off, he had a decent round and his score did count because Lin was struggling today. Curious to see the lineup in Scottsdale
Going to have to play more consistently to make the cut for match play at nationals. Castillo card is loaded with birdies, but lot of bogeys and a triple. Margin for error will be much smaller next time out.
But overall a good week. Survive and advance

I assumed coming home the final few holes it was a combination of a bit of lost focus knowing they were good, and probably the staff saying “play safe and avoid doubles and triples”...and outside of one hole late that’s what they did.
I am interested to see how they do at nationals, there’s a bit of a different vibe around this team compared to previous years. I wouldn’t call it a great vibe quite yet, but it’s not the same “expect the worst to happen because it will” vibe. When they got to ten over the other day they responded really well and made it drama free even.

They have played well the spring....best all around stretch in years. Wilkes not having his A game at the moment hurts, but Biondi has gone to another level. Castillo always seems streaky, but he is super talented. Lin needs to be the steady guy, that round today can't happen in Scottsdale...doubt they can afford to drop his score like that.
