god you people get worked up.all i said is that is clear that getting the vaccine, even multiple times does not prevent you from getting covid, even that hardiest pro-vaxers must admit that.

That’s not what you said. You quoted a poster, one who’s been saving lives for the past 2+ years, that shared he’s suffering from Covid symptoms as an “I told you so” opportunity. Beside the fact that no one has ever claimed the vaccine 100% prevents infection, so it wasn’t even an I told you so, but that’s never stopped you before.

and will not in the future, i will continue to point out vaccines and masks are not bullet proof despite some, including a certain individual who shall go nameless, you know, the one people bow and pray to, like a lordgod.

no need to shout, there are plenty of people out there who believe all you need is a shot and a mask and you are safe.

Why don’t you explain the risk differences between being vaccinated and not. Try telling the whole story; not the misleading disinformation that so many people have followed. We are all listening. Tell is the varying risk factors in terms or risk of infection, severe illness and spread

Sure there are, and they’re wrong. Everyone here would tell them they’re wrong as well. I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make or why you think it’s so powerful. What I do know is the post you quoted wasn’t the time or place.

Well, that is the way almost every vaccine known to man works short of the Small Pox vaccine, so yes, I will admit that is true.

Smallpox vaccine was only 95% effective, the difference was everyone got it, so it wasn't able to spread enough to continue existence.

smallpox typically incubates for 10-14 days. Covid omicron incubates in 3 days. A high vaccination rate can likely stop a 10 day incubating virus. A high vaccination rate can’t stop a virus that incubates in 3 days, but it can lessen the severity of it.

AP FACT CHECK: Biden goes too far in assurances on vaccines (yahoo.com)

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden offered an absolute guarantee Wednesday that people who get their COVID-19 vaccines are completely protected from infection, sickness and death from the coronavirus. The reality is not that cut and dried.

Fauci: Vaccinated people become ‘dead ends’ for the coronavirus | The Hill

“When you get vaccinated, you not only protect your own health and that of the family but also you contribute to the community health by preventing the spread of the virus throughout the community,” Fauci said. “In other words, you become a dead end to the virus. And when there are a lot of dead ends around, the virus is not going to go anywhere. And that’s when you get a point that you have a markedly diminished rate of infection in the community.”

Update. Symptoms improved overnight. Much much better and it looks like I'm in the clear. Really surprised at how improved I am upon waking up today. Even sinuses opening back up. I will say this though...

I regret not getting a booster. I'm in my low 40s and have never been on any meds for chronic issues. I've been physically active my whole life. Although I have always respected the damage Covid can and has done I was never really concerned for myself but very concerned for others. I'd still rather take whatever vaccine or booster than actually contract covid. The idea the vaccine is going to cause some long term damage is fear mongering. What I have seen is people who have had documented physical lung damage and subsequent lingering issues after getting covid including my own father and a couple of good friends.
I'd much rather take my chances with a vaccine that may improve my chances of not getting covid or reducing symptoms if I did. The logic of preferring to contract some mutating virus that has wrecked people's lives over the entire world rather than to take a medication that is safe for an overwhelming majority of the population is again bizarre and rooted in today's extreme political stances.

Thank you to the well wishers here. Much appreciated.

Just shut up and get jabbed already. Who cares if the disease is not dangerous to you? Who cares if you think taking different precautions to avoid a disease and fight it works better for you verse jabbing yourself with a new drug? Just get jabbed or you do not care. Even if you are unvaccinated and yet to even get the disease. You still do not know anything. Unless you get jabbed.

Most people know that the vaccines are very effective in reducing serious illness, hospitalization and death due to Covid, but less effective in reducing transmission.

Few people think the vaccines are 100% effective. It's all about getting vaccinated and greatly improving your chances of not being hospitalized or dying and reducing chances of transmission.
