It will be the law of the land one day. You'll see. Christ's enemies will be placed under His feet. Better obey Jesus now.
I don't think it is presumptuous if you know what the Bible says and you are living an examined life with an intent to obey Christ.
FWIW, the security of the believer is in God's grace. That is where my hope is. Believers still sin, but there is also a desire to please God and do His will. We are somewhere between being dead in our trespasses and sins and being perfectly glorified with Christ. The believer is alive to live for Christ, but the believer still has indwelling sin to fight everyday. The believer still sorrows over that sin as they aim to live for Christ. The believer still confesses that sin. The believer still is going to war with that sin. False conversion is real. So, believers have to do a critical examination of themselves to see if they possess the fruits of righteousness. Is there faith and repentance? The fruit is the evidence of conversion. You can know what Jesus considers to be important if you read your Bible on a regular basis with a humble heart. You just have to listen.
For thr kidney donation question, and other medical questions....In literally no other circumstances do we require someone use their body against their will to save another’s life. None. Doesn't exist. Imagine giving court orders left and right forcing people to donate kidneys & livers, force them to give blood, etc. The uproar would be huge! We don’t mandate blood donation, bone marrow donation, organ donation - even a corpse has more more bodily autonomy than what some offer a pregnant woman. Think about that. A DEAD BODY HAS MORE RIGHTS than a pregnant woman. A life dies? Well yes, maybe. Lots of people die from lack of blood donations, bone marrow donations, and organ donations. When folks start mandating someone has to be forced to offer their body to save someone else, then we can discuss whether it’s morally right to force a woman to sustain another’s life with her body against her will. Because once again it's nothing to do with saving a life. It's about punishment and control.
Gilead folks are going to have problems with corporations wanting to provide care to their employees and NOT agreeing to going backwards. Bravo, Microsoft.
Didn't think about the repercussions of making abortions/contraceptives felonies. Women wouldn't be able to vote due to that felony.
Please leave your religion out of my bedroom and my private life, and I’ll leave my Jewish faith out of yours. I don’t care if you want to go to church 7 days a week, and believe whatever you want to believe, but that’s where it should stay. Not in my exercise of choice. Certainly not in my wife’s womb. And if you want to burden me with your religious beliefs, or reach through the screen to shake me, I’ll shake you right back.
No you won’t. It’ll be lights out for you when you die just like every other creature on this earth. You are not special.
And yet, you routinely take stances that are at odds with Jesus's teachings. You simply twist the scripture to justify the political beliefs you want to have.
With no rape/incest exceptions, these girls/women would be out of luck in some places in the US. Would they be told to "see it as an opportunity"?
