It is very nice to have the most wins but see our SEC record and our hitting stats in the SEC, that is what counts not wins against Tn State, Mercer, FAMU, No Fla, Stetson, etc. Yes we beat USF and USF (barely) but they are NOT SEC caliber teams. USF has a SEC caliber pitcher which I wish she played for us (wonder why ARIC did not recruit her, she is from Sanford???). Duke was a nice early season win, FSU is 3rd in the ACC and Michigan is an also ran with a .575 winning percentage in the perennially weak Big 10. The one thing in common in all of those OCC (except Duke) games was that we did not hit with runners in scoring position with less than 2 outs. Against UCF and Georgina 2nd game) we got 1 whole hit and Skylar "stole" the game on a steal attempt. Do not get me wrong, I do not want to change the Head Coach; just the p--- poor hitting coach and the mediocre pitching coach. Tim needs to make the tough choice of his friend for his program viability going forward. I do not want Tim to be Dan Mullen 2.0.

Walsh had the oddest interaction with Hannah Adams yesterday during player introduction. Since she's no longer starting, Hannah is the first introduced and on the third base line. After each player is introduced, the new thing is that they touch Hannah's thumb, then move down the line giving high-fives. When Walsh was introduced, she snubbed Adams and went to the second player in line. Hannah had a WTF look with the girl standing next to her.

Dunno, maybe it was a one-off or maybe Walsh was channelling Haley Fagan. Maybe its a chemistry thing. It was a decade ago that team's internal strife caused Walton to boot the Fagan sisters and Coyle from the team just before regionals. Maybe you are right and there are team problems with Walsh.

Aric probably didn't recruit corrick because he was a baseball asst at Tennessee when she committed to USF. I doubt many baseball teams pursued her:)

TW usually has a press conference after home games. Gators play four home games in a row and not a peep. Guess he didn't want to explain away the loss to FGCU.

Maybe she misses her mom, after all it is Mother’s Day. Redonda Beach, CA is a long way from Gainesville.

So if Mizzou and LSU both lose today, we will all have 13-11 records. Will be be seeded ahead of both of them? We beat LSU 2-1 and didn’t play Mizzou this season.

Apkgator - you are right about Aric at TN at that time. Maybe that is why they were very average then and now 4 years later they are the clear #1 Baseball team! Coincedence? I think not.

I'm not sure he needs to go out there if no reporters show up to ask questions. But maybe he should and we could just get a read on his facial expression while he sits there.

I'm copying and pasting this from the SEC website:

Here's how ties in regular-season conference winning percentage will be decided for seeding the SEC tournament.

    1. Two-Team Tie. The following procedure will be used in the following order until the tie is broken:

    A. Won-lost record of head-to-head competition between the tied teams.

    B. Won-lost record of the two teams versus the highest seeded common opponent.

    C. Fewest runs allowed in head to head competition. If head to head competition between two tied teams did not occur, then fewest runs allowed against all common opponents.

    D. Fewest runs allowed versus all opponents.

    E. Coin flip by the Commissioner.

    2. Three-Team Tie (or more). If three or more tied teams have three different records against each other, they shall be seeded in best percentage order. Otherwise, once the tie has been reduced to two teams, the two-team tie breaker procedure shall be utilized. The following procedure will be used in the following order until the tie is broken:

    A. Total won-loss percentage of games played among the tied teams.

    B. Won-loss percentage of the tied teams versus the highest seed common opponent.

    C. Fewest runs allowed in head to head competition. If head to head competition between the tied teams did not occur, then fewest runs allowed against all common opponents.

    D. Fewest runs allowed versus all opponents.

    E. If three or more teams are still tied, the Commissioner will conduct a draw.

I think that mostly goes toward the job Vitello has done at UT.
Truth he told, I don't have a strong feel for Aric one way or the other. But I know that recruiting classes he and Walton have lined up are phenomenal, so he has to get some credit there

They really need to go to the portal this off season and find a quality pitcher and a power hitter to go with the ladies returning and the 2 recruits coming on campus over the summer.

Not UF, but I just turn on the SC and UK game. Man, SC is terrible. UK leads 11-0 in the 4th.

Actually if Mizzou loses to Bama today they would be 12-11. They've played 1 less game.

That is correct. Right now Miss. State is beating LSU 6-5 in the 6th and LSU would be 13-11 if they lose. Kentucky finished 13-11, so they're tied with the Gators already. Georgia is beating Ole Miss right now 2-0 in the 4th and if the Bulldogs win, they'll, also be 13-11. So if UF, LSU, KY & GA all end with 13-11 records, it will be interesting who gets that #4 seed and the extra bye.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but with the LSU loss I feel Bama hangs on to beat Mizzou we are getting the 4 seed.

Just depends on how the tiebreaker works, as we'll probably be in a 4 way tie with LSU, Kentucky & Georgia and we didn't play the Cats or Bulldogs.

I think it ends up 4 KY 5 FL 6 LSU because the three against each other are KY 3-0, FL 2-1 LSU 1-5.

Seems like it would go to ky. They swept Lsu and didn't play UF so 3-0. UF 2-1 and lsu 6th at 1-5. Just my guess tho.

that is a stupid way to do it, what if a team in a 3 way tie did not pay the other 2?here is a thought, play 30 games like baseball, that way each team would only not play 1 team since vandy has no team.
