Thank you. Would still like to find the "unintended consequence" of this ruling when it is released. Do not know what case "'Heller" is, but much like with my older brother, I differ to attorneys on all legal matters. Appreciate the response.
Question for the lawyers here: If we assume that Alito's draft or some version of it comes through. If Congress were to pass an abortion law allowing abortions up to 15 weeks for any reason and life of the mother at any time. THe President signs it, is that now the law of the land, despite the Court ruling?
This is correct. And if the woman was not an adulterer, she would not die even if she drank the waters. It was not the waters that caused the death. Because of the sanctity is marriage part of the mixture included the words describing the procedure scratched or cut from a Torah scroll— which is otherwise forbidden. The result of the wife lying about the adultery and drinking the waters would lead to the wife dying even if not pregnant. So did the man she committed adultery with. "But if you have gone astray while married to your husband and you have made yourself impure by having sexual relations with a man other than your husband”— 21 here the priest is to put the woman under this curse—“may the Lord cause you to become a curse among your people when he makes your womb miscarry and your abdomen swell. 22 May this water that brings a curse enter your body so that your abdomen swells or your womb miscarries.” Bible Gateway passage: Numbers 5:11-31 - New International Version So I'm not Jewish and I'll apologize in advance for not understanding. The above quote is what's in the Bible, not the Torah one. So on the quote above it says nothing about the woman dying but that the baby would be aborted if she was guilty. For some reason I thought the Old Testament parts were the same and that only the New Testament was the difference for obvious reasons. Hence why so many have been quoting & saying it in that manner.
‘Enforced childbirth is slavery’: Margaret Atwood on the right to abortion She's the author of The Handmaid's Tale.
Congress could act to legalize abortion nationwide. But I am very confident that the Republicans on this Supreme Court would kill that law.
I was reading John Calvin’s commentary on Psalm 2 yesterday, and he mentioned specifically that one of the ways the nations rage against Christ is that they make the accusation that living under the rule of Christ’s kingdom is like living under oppression or slavery. The Psalmist describes Christ’s rule from the raging Gentile perspective as oppressive bonds or an oppressive yoke that ought to be thrown off, and they say among themselves let’s throw off the bonds or yoke of the reign of Christ. In this very thread chillingly similar language has been used to describe living under Christ’s rule of not murdering your own seed. The Psalm says God laughs at such people in His fury, and Jesus is His chosen eternal king of all the nations. God’s choice cannot be thwarted. There is no amount of conspiring you or any other group of people can do to stop it. Jesus is the chosen eternal King of the nations. And there is no amount of complaining, accusations of Taliban rule, wringing your hands about women being slaves without rights that can change God’s choice for who will eternally rule the nations. When God says this is my begotten Son, He is saying this is who I have chosen as the eternal King. Wrath is coming for those who don’t acknowledge God’s eternal kingdom and Christ’s rule over it. And citizenship in the greatest kingdom there ever was or ever will be is coming for those who repent and acknowledge the King that God has chosen to rule for all eternity.
Perfectly fine. I know his stance. I know my own. I know the stances of others. It's. Their. Choice. No one is forcing them to get abortions. They're so strong in their beliefs? Do ad campaigns, community outreach, work with adoption agencies, have programs or people who can help pregnant women during and after. For some women, the support & care would likely talk them out of it. But... It's. Their. CHOICE.
An example of adoption services and their costs. Note the price difference for Caucasian kids versus Black kids. Which group do you think is more likely to be able to afford running out of state for an abortion? Yep, the more popular color option for adoption. So you'd end up with MORE unwanted kids.
What is Tebow's position on abortion in cases of rape or incest? I know he is in favor of expectant mothers being able to choose for themselves in cases of threats to the mother's health.
It isn't living under Christ's kingdom that so many people are afraid of, it is living under the version of it that some of those who profess to follow Him have dreamed up. Not all Christians want the world that you have imagined for us.
