NO ONE is diminishing what happened on 9/11. It was the worst attack on the U.S. since Pearl Harbor. Please provide proof that anyone in this thread downplayed what happened that day.

On the contrary, you are diminishing what happened on Jan 6, the worst domestic attack on our democracy since the Civil War.

All this was started BY YOU when I said Jan 6 was the worst day of my life, after the death of my parents. I later acknowledged that I could have included 9/11 with the death of my parents.

But you clearly can't handle someone expressing his honest, heartfelt OPINION.
All your attempts to browbeat me (must be 7-8 by now) because you have a different OPINION just makes you look more pathetic.

I dont need anything. The poster making that assertion certainly needs it to make his claim true. Otherwise he's just lying.

For the record, I was NOT the person who said Trump "ordered Pence and Pelosi to be killed". All I said was that Trump singled out Pence in his speech, which he did. I did not lie to anyone. Even you admitted "what you state above . . . is mostly true".

I wasn't wrong. I proved my point that Trump singled out Pence in his speech before he sent his thugs to the Capitol.

As for your comment: "You do have issues. I'm sure of that." . . . The only issue I have is your juvenile, personal insults in every response. Grow up.

So noted but you were very quick to at least ad some validity to that ridiculous claim.

I would never say Trump ordered Pence or Pelosi to be killed. Even Trump isn't that stupid. (?????)

But, he DID make Pence a target that day. The thugs inside the Capitol didn't just out of nowhere start chanting "Hang Mike Pence!"

You started it by the ridiculously saying 1/6 was the 2nd worst day of your life. That's all you sport. Sorry you got called out for the ignorant comment. But if you want to retract your statement, go ahead. Anyone thinking 1/6 was the 2nd worst day in their life has some serious issues.

You know, it is possible for an adult to discuss something without juvenile personal insults. But, then, how would you know??? :)

    Blocked.

The misuse of the Speech is worse than what these people accuse Trump of. The few real agitators/protestors there to do harm had already begun their shenanigans before the speech ended. The speech did not incite any of the violence. Like the protests across the country. This was a small group of agitators making a scene. All that caused damage should be prosecuted. Just like those who vandalized cities across America. Most were there to peacefully make their concerns heard.

To splice the speech into sound bites that are completely out of context shows the worst in people.

Why was the ”speech” and rally there at that time and place? Do you think that’s normal for an outgoing President? Why was the entire thing so full of lies? Why did basically all the participants use incendiary language?

Step outside the insanity cult, and the answers are all obvious.

As I've said before, I would never say that Trump ordered the killing of Pence or Pelosi. Even Trump isn't that stupid.

But, it's clear that he made Pence a target for the thugs assaulting Congress in session, with Pence presiding.

BS. The link I provided for Trump's Jan 6 speech included the entire transcript of his speech plus a link to the video of the speech.

That said, only a madman would read or watch the entire speech, with all it's LIES and inflammatory rhetoric about his BIG LIE. For this reason, and consistent with the on-going discussion about Trump singling out Pence, I also provided excerpts of his comments regarding Mike Pence.

Here's the link again. Go ahead and read or watch the whole damn thing. Bet you won't though. :)

Read Trump's Jan. 6 Speech, A Key Part Of Impeachment Trial.

It was obvious to anyone outside his cult that Trump had spent months setting up his BIG LIE and setting the stage for his insurrection. He invited his thugs to be in DC on Jan 6, at the exact time and place when and where the U.S. Congress would verify the election of the new President.

Cry-baby Trump knew damn well he was going to lose the election. He never had a positive approval rating over 50%. And, every poll, including Faux News polls, had Biden ahead by 6-12 percentage points, with an average of around 9 points.

I don’t think Trump ordered a hit on Pence, although when you read the comments and the way it was all riled up for that moment, clearly part of the intent was using the mob not just for pressuring congress, but also applying pressure to VP Pence. When it was made known Pence wasn’t playing ball, that automatically made him a “traitor” to those nutjobs and that’s when it became dangerous.

Saying “he tried to kill him” isn’t technically accurate, but it was more that the sociopath wasn’t concerned whatsoever with Pence’s or anyone else’s safety, he just wanted to get his way whatever the cost.

Never said you implied that. You just chose to respond when the question was for someone else
