Before being shamed into asking his mob to go home peacefully (a response which notably didn’t happen until they started dissipating, I.e until it was clear they weren’t going to get Pence or Pelosi), his response was basically “this is what you get”.

My main memory from that time is that Bush was like "please go shopping" after 9/11. Seems more or less the American response to anything.

 

I don't align with the insurrectionists. I have never voted for trump. Swing and a miss. Most americans think 1/6 was a terrible thing. It was. It is also no where close in comparison to 9/11. But hey, you keep thinking it was something worse. It wasn't.

You know damn well that Trump "fingered" Mike Pence in his speech on Jan 6 before sending his thugs to the Capitol.

I provided you with Trump's own words during his speech just before his insurrection. He dishonestly told his thugs that Pence is the guy who can overturn the election. So it all depends upon him. That made him a target.

 

The original assertion was this "US citizens turning traitor and attempting to kill Pence and Pelosi under orders to do so from the POTUS is worse". Very different than what you state above which is mostly true.

You, nor anyone else has any proof that POTUS ordered Pence and Pelosi to be killed. Lies from either side are bad and dangerous. If you want better, be better.

I’m sure a defense attorney would obfuscate what Trump did do (inflame the crowd, point to Pence), with what he likely didn’t do (actually SAY kill). Perhaps it’s fair to say Trump didn’t want him killed, he just wanted him threatened and scurried away by secret service. What truly isn’t debatable, is that Trump inflamed the crowd and was the nexus for everything that went down not just on that day, but in the weeks (really years of insanity) leading up to it.
