How dare you talk to someone who served his country like that. Shame shame shame.

The assault on our democracy by traitors born in this country was personal to me. No other way to say it.

I get what he's saying. One was an attack from an entity/man known to hate America and all it stands for. The other was an attack on one of the very foundations of this country not by a terror group or enemy state, but by its own citizens. There's a level of betrayal there.

Size wise, casualties wise, etc 9/11 is no contest worse. But I see where he's coming from on this.

Well my dad & sister were missing 9/11 (in DC) & I went into early labor from the upset. We found them. So that one to me is worse just from my point of view & what was happening. But I do understand your side and was trying to clarify it :)

please. My dad, my two brothers and my son have served this country. Anyone thinking Jan 6th was worse than 9/11 has issues. All of my family who has served say 9/11 is the worst thing to happen to the US since Pearl Harbor. Jan 6th isn’t in the discussion.

Man, you need perspective. Anyone saying Jan 6th is in the same sentence with 9/11 is either hyper partisan or has some issues.

My dad was across the street from the Pentagon when the plane hit it. My sister was walking down the steps of the Capitol. He was working for the FAA & they called my mom who then called me that he was unaccounted for. And no one could find my sister. They'd happened to hop on some of the last metros leaving DC then had to find ways to get to the apartment they were sharing.

It was awful and yes I'd put it there with Pearl Harbor. Easily.

I've said plenty that I'm an independent so respectfully I don't find it partisan to say Jan 6th in the same sentence. And I explained why. It's a deeper sense of betrayal for some - that the US had nearly sunk to the levels of a 3rd World country over a lie.

It doesn't diminish 9/11. But 1/6 shouldn't be dismissed because of partisanship. It absolutely was a big deal.

Different kinds of pain. One was a punch to the jaw, one was a punch to the gut.

One caused thousands to die, the other was a few thousand people being idiots, led by an idiot. Not comparable whatsoever.

1/6 should be dismissed when compared to 9/11. One had thousands die. The other? A few thousand idiots led by an idiot. Nothing serious was ever going to come from it. It's ridiculous to even compare.

Not if you frame it that way, no. Obviously, some of us perceived it as being more than a mob of idiots engaging in a little vandalism. The leader was indeed an idiot, but he was also the president, and he was inciting an insurrection.

If all you understand is body counts, you will never understand.

That's your opinion because you align with the insurrectionists. 9/11 should be dismissed because it was an attack by outside forces. US citizens turning traitor and attempting to kill Pence and Pelosi under orders to do so from the POTUS is worse.

Trump ordered Pence and Pelosi to be killed? Is there a reputable link to that?

Actually, Trump publicly singled out Pence to the mob before sending them on their way to assault Congress while chanting "Hang Mike Pence!"
