I’d pack the court this weekend.

Kavanaugh pretty much lied through his teeth in his confirmation hearing.

He lied through his teeth at his D.C. Circuit confirmation hearing. It's not a surprise he'd do it again.

And why would Stephen Breyer care at this point?

To paraphrase some posts I've seen...so basically to this Court and some Republicans, a gun has more rights than a woman if this goes through.

For those who were clamoring & bragging about November...even if they're not Democrat, you'll see a barrage of women voting against Republicans because of this.

If this leads to striking contraceptives, what really is left is this country turning women into nothing but breeders. No way to protect themselves, no way to get an abortion.

Btw, imagine what all those rich old guys with mistresses getting pregnant are going to do when their side pieces can't get abortions. So much child support, guys. Lots of powerful "family values" families will get some surprises.

So much fail with this. Restrictions are one thing. Striking Roe is abhorrent.

Wouldn’t it likely be one of Alito’s clerks? Who else would have access? Maybe the rest of the majority? Or would the dissenters have had access to the written opinion as well at this stage?

In either case, I doubt this is “criminal” in any way whatsoever, it’s not like it’s national security or classified info. So it’s not like there is likely to be some big investigation into it. Although as it’s a small knit group, probably won’t be hard for them to figure it out.

Wait THAT'S the focus? Not striking down women's rights? You're worried about the leak?

And I'm NOT a liberal. However, I AM a Woman & this is sickening. And the outrage is not an overreaction or whining or whatever term folks want to throw out there.

Food for thought. If Roe gets struck & abortion is made illegal as some want...congratulations. Women in RUSSIA would have more rights than women in the US.

I think a lot of big government conservatives forget this is a 70% issue. As in… 70% of the country is AGAINST their position.

The majority does support reasonable limits on abortion (18 weeks, 22 weeks, etc). You do outright bans, force rape victims, force teenage motherhood, etc. All of a sudden you are in an extremist minority.

All the justices and their clerks would likely have access. He would send the opinion around for comments, revisions, and to allow dissents/concurrences.

It will be up to the states to regulate abortions as the state legislature sees fit.

Some forget there are conservative women out there who want some restrictions but not to have Roe overturned, or contraceptives become an issue, etc. This will make those women have to choose whether or not they want their own rights taken away.

Fine. Amended to more rights than *insert state name (Texas, for example)*.

This post is total garbage! You call those who oppose this ruling "hateful, intolerant, and anti democracy".

This comes from a person who is part of a group that does not even believe in elections and democracy, that pushes hate on many groups of Americans, and is so intolerant of other religions that it pushes this ruling which in effect makes fundamentalist Christianity the official religion of the USA.

Next comes the outlawing of contraceptives, which were made legal due to the Griswold decision, the obliteration of which is the reasoning behind this decision, that imputed the right to privacy, thereby allowing the legal use of contraceptives. If you are a pre-menopausal woman or in a relationship with one, get ready to have sex only a few times a year, or if you want more than that, look forward to 5, 6, 8 or more children.

The kicker is that fundamentalists don't even follow their religion, but they want to force the rest of us to do so. Those hypocrites and frauds will be accessing abortions if they don't want a pregnancy to continue, but the hell with you if you have that desire.

Democracy, right to privacy.....if you want those, then "the hell with you and your religious beliefs".
