That is why Trump candidates are getting crushed everywhere. I feel bad for principled conservatives because they have been abandoned. I think about the gas and bullet my grandfather took in the Argonne Forest in 1918 or my father joining the Coast Guard at 17 in 1943 and I know how they would have felt about January 6.

It would not be a political tool if the GOP and Trumpers would come clean about what happened. Guess why they won’t?

What did he do? What was his plan? And what aspects of it did we see in public? Because it wasn’t about him and he wasn’t alone. I am not posting links. You are going to have to defend your position with information. Start with the legal opinion finding the crime fraud exception applicable. Let’s hear information why the penalties should be limited to him and there he no investigation.

If the GOP and Trumpers said they did nothing wrong, leave us alone, Democrats won’t leave them alone.

If the GOP and Trumpers say everything you want them to say, even if it’s not true, that makes them fascists who wanted to overthrow an election despite the Will of the people.

    Sounds like we can’t win.

I don’t have to justify crap to you duchen.

Justify why there should be a Congressional investigation or I’m out.

Since when in criminal law is it the burden on the defense to prove innocence? It’s on you to prove why the investigation should happen.

And if this isn’t about holding alleged criminals accountable what the Hell is it about? Congressional political theatrics? No thanks. I’m good.

Democrats would have praised Republicans if they had remained true to their oaths of office. They vowed to protect this country from all enemies foreign and domestic. But they didn't. They caved in to bullying by cry-baby Trump.

Yes. If there’s anything Democrats were known for it was praising Republicans between 2016 and 2020.

No need to make anything up. If they just own up to what they actually did, they will be acknowledging fascist acts of insurrection.

Want to be left alone? Give voluntary testimony about the events surrounding the last election. All the events of 1-6. Tell us and show everyone the contacts they had with each other concerning, and the documents relating to, the attempt to bring alternate state delegates to be certified, pressure on state election officials, the coordination of frivolous court cases alleging lies, the rejection of state votes. In an open democracy, all of that should be open. Let’s hear about the Dominion machines. And, of course, tell us why there was such a late response on 1-6 to the requests to approve National Guard support for Congress. Because the late response I’m the face of the clear intel that there was a likelihood of violence suggests that somebody wanted this to work. Let’s get all the information out there so the people can decide what kind of country we want.

Investigations in Congress are not criminal investigations and the burden of proof is not on Congress. They are factual investigations. You made the statement that Eastman should be disbarred but the investigation is a “nothing burger.” But, you can’t even discuss His plan. You either don’t know what Eastman’s memo said or you are willfully ignoring it. Either way, your assessment that the investigation is a “nothing burger” is because you support what took place or don’t care. Amid your contorted and inconsistent explanations, you reveal yourself very clearly.

If the GOP had acted swiftly and decisively to identify and excommunicate the people who incited the riot and championed malicious plans to overturn the election, there would be very little political hay to be made from an investigation.

But that's not what the GOP did. Instead they went in the complete opposite direction and exiled to the political wilderness anyone who dared suggest that the truth be known or the wrongdoers punished.

And now it's the Democrats' fault for bringing it up. Right.

The funny part is I’m quite sure nobody is asking 715 to do anything. Did he participate in 1/6? Did he receive a subpoena? I guess he just likes putting himself in insurrectionists shoes and being their message board representative pro bono. Go team!

LOL, summer long insurrection dog and pony show still won't help the midterms. By then voters will be paying 5.00 for a loaf of bread, if they can find one.

Overthrowing the gas station andblooting the CVS is a riot. Overthrowing the federal election while trampling the constitution is an insurrection. Can you see a difference ?

Pretty sad indictment on the country that it would be so willing to vote for a political party, the majority of whose members in Congress voted to disenfranchise voters and reject the results of a presidential election. The plan failed the first time but once the GOP controls both houses of Congress it will be in a position to make it work the next time it is needed. Any doubts are erased by Florida’s new Congressional map.

what he writes is his post shows that he
fully supports what happened 1-6, notwithstanding his lip service that it was “wrong”.

I say rioters from January 6th were violent and should be prosecuted.

I say John Eastman should be disbarred and maybe prosecuted over January 6th, and yet posters here still say I support January 6th.

My point has been that Democrats are using January 6th to paint all Republicans with that broad brush. Low and behold that's exactly what they're doing with me on this board. Thank you for proving me right.
