Anyone saying X or Y will happen with Disney/DeSantis is talking out of their ass. DeSantis isn't stupid like Trump. That much i'm sure of.

Contracts aren't tea leaves. I think it's pretty clear what the legal consequences will be. The political ones are, as you say, unclear.

DeSantis reminiscing about the old days when cartoons didn't include sexuality.

It is a privilege. So if a dentist were to push the false narrative that this bill only applies to people from K-3, the state can take their license?

My main take away from cartoons then was that you could get blasted in the face by a shotgun and it would just turn your face black and that getting hit with an anvil was funny, things that didnt make you worry

Don't know about DeSantis, Trump got into Penn with a little help from his father. Somewhat ironic that the Republican party plays to rural and small town middle America using the narrative that the Democrats are the party of Ivy League educated elites considering that Trump, DeSantis, Cruz, Pompeo, Hawley, Tom Cotton and JD Vance are all Ivy League educated while Biden's degrees are from the University of Delaware and Syracuse.

Who suggested that their vote was solely based upon the insurrection? Hint: Nobody suggested that.

I strongly suspect that DeSantis is aware of the potential legal and economic consequences of eliminating the Reedy Creek special district and will back off in the end after scoring political points with the stunt. Keep in mind that the legislation eliminating the special district will not be effective until 2023 unlike most laws in Florida which are effective on July 1 of the year in which they were enacted.

You said the "bad apples" don't represent the party. Well then, what has the party done to hold them to account and throw them out of the party. NOTHING! They oppose holding them responsible and ostracize anyone in the party who wants to hold them to account.

    Shameful.

Republicans generally think the people involved should be put in jail.

They just don't like January 6th being in the news cycle every 5 seconds.

I, too, don't like when people keep reminding me of shitty things I've done. But rather than blame them for bringing it up, I probably shouldn't have done shitty things.

    The GOP

"Sorry we can't remove these permanent confederate monuments that are a historical marker of the evils of slavery."

    Also the GOP

"Please don't remind people of the horrible thing we did on Jan 6."

So what you're saying is that the party of integrity, patriotism, the constitution, and the rule of law thinks an attempted overthrow of the electoral process is getting too much news coverage.

A lot of posters are pretending that they’re not trying to attribute the January 6th rioters to the entire Republican Party, and they’re using January 6th for that kind of political purpose to demonize all Republicans.
