I am presuming you mean a sequel. There's already been a live-action version

    I don't think it's a sequel. Google sez"

"The live-action film, which is one of the biggest releases of the year, is a remake of the 1998 animated story of a young girl who takes her father's place in the army."

Not sure. It may be a dated piece. Here is a link to a review from 2020.
'Mulan' review: Disney's live-action remake improves upon the original

There was some controversy with the credits

Disney’s new live-action film Mulan has become a global sensation, but not just for the reason the storied production company hoped.

Some viewers who paid to stream the movie on Disney+ last weekend found something troubling in the credits: Disney thanked eight government bodies in Xinjiang, a western province in China where around 2 million Uighur Muslims have been forced into concentration camps by the Chinese government. It turns out parts of Mulan were filmed in Xinjiang two years ago, well after the world knew about Beijing’s plan to “reeducate” Uighurs with Communist Party doctrine.

Of course, if it was released today, I suspect the major objection would be the gender politics, and those on the right would claim it was Disney trying to be gender bending because they're so new and woke, without realizing that the story is somewhere between 1500 and 1700 years old

You are wasting your time. I explained it in crayon and another poster posted the Supreme Court case on point. He doesn’t care about fact or law so long has he can be the final authority on what he believes the way things should be. Just another cheerleader for tyrants. And whatever they do that supports his world view. He revels in his freedom to act and believe as he does and to impose that on others that are different from him. I am done.

The more Democrats think like you, the less DeSantis's shenanigans are justified, and the quicker he goes away.

Was a Republican until January 2021. Now I'm a NPA. However will never vote Republican as long as the stain of trump remains a thing in the party.

I mean have you seen Democrats in the last decade? And I disagree with voting third party, but I can see the logic.

Whatever your gripes about the Democrats, they didn't attempt a coup when they lost the Presidency.

This is a silly argument. Disney has to operate in the real world, under the laws of host countries all over the globe.

That has NOTHING to do with DeSantis' abuse of power in the State of Florida, where free speech is a Constitutional right.

There is NO DOUBT whatsoever that this was a vindictive and punitive action by DeSantis against Disney for exercising it's Constitutional right for free speech, no matter how much you sugar coat it.

No, they just claim to this day that Gore was robbed of the 2000 election, supported litigation to try and overturn that election, wrongfully called Stacey Abrams the Governor of Georgia, and suggested that Trump wouldn't have won the 2016 election without Russian interference.

Democrats are sour grapes about every election they lose and cry foul play every time. Some bad apples (who do not represent the party) storm the Capitol and many Republicans are skeptical of a procedurally unprecedented election... and Democrats use that as this fatal blow that undermines any support for this Republican Party.

I am not in that camp. I am not a fan a number of 2020 election procedures, but I think the storming of the Capitol was wrong (along with the vast majority of Republicans), and I think Joe Biden rightfully won the election. I do not think the election was stolen from Trump. Trump has nobody to blame but himself from losing because he just couldn't keep his mouth shut.

Basically, I'm right. Whatever your gripes about the Democratic Party, they didn't attempt a coup when they lost the Presidency.

Picking which Party to vote for based on a cherry-picked group of radicals involved in a riot opposed by the same Party you're holding it against, is a stupid way to vote.

But hey, it's a free country.
