Forgot to counter the Ukranian bit. Considering that Russia has now stated their goal is basically a land grab & the extermination of Ukraine/Ukranians, their whole "well it's NATO/the US at fault" garbage is exactly that. Garbage. There are several other former republics already in NATO. Now Sweden & Finland have fast tracked their application to NATO because guess what...Russia just proved why it's needed. The US didn't tell Russia to go invade Ukraine, dig up Chernobyl, torture/rape/kill civilians, forcibly deport thousands to camps in Russia, bomb evacuees, etc. What's prolonged this war is, much to the chagrin it seems of a number of Republicans/Rand Paul/Trump people is that Ukraine/Zelensky have had the AUDACITY to not roll over and play dead. So no, not pinning that mess on anyone but Putin.
Biden inherited the Afghan policy/plan; he executed the pull-out horrifically, and owns it completely; Biden's pathetic incompetence in handling of the Afghan withdrawal communicated weakness to Putin/Russia, and fostered the illusion that he could roll into Ukraine without consequence; Bullshit excuse for COVID, but even if we accept your mass suicide martyrdom tin foil hat conspiracy theory, that would speak to Biden's worthless leadership; Let's DO talk corruption--but Let's let that convo go both ways, not just up the Right's ass, while covering the Left's; ...and please spare me the lecture on Alzheimer's--I've lost 3 close relatives to it after long drawn out declines, and my mother is currently suffering from it (late stage, under hospice care...). I could write a book about Alzheimer's; prolly set to get it myself, frankly. ...and upon that basis of knowledge, and the countless resources I've read on it consequently, I reiterate--dementia covers a huge spectrum--with Alzheimer's perhaps the most pronounced manifestation of it, and it covering a spectrum itself, as you alluded to, in that it progresses to different stages and at different paces. NB: I didn't not suggest that either Trump or Biden has Alzheimer's--I said they're both probably demented, but to different degrees.
Biden should own the Afghan withdraw. And if you look at the first three days, it was a cluster. But the overall operation improved significantly, and we ended up evacuating close to 95% of those who wanted to leave, with tragic, but minimal loss of lives. And no, it didn't signal a weakness. If it did, then Trump deserves much of that blame, because again, he brokered the withdrawal negotiations. Biden could have changed the deal, and did, by extending the date. But reneging on the deal would have meant keeping US troops in the area, and keeping a status quo that was a boondoggle costing us billions of dollars, and loss of US troop lives. As for corruption, let's compare the Trump family with the Biden family. The Trump family can't run a charity in NY because they stole from the last one. Trump and his family is facing civil lawsuits in NY and Trump was just fined $10,000 a day for failure to produce court ordered documents. Ivanka, who was part of the Trump admin, also magically received trademark deals from China on the same day Trump met with Xi. Let's also discuss other Trump admin members or close advisers, like Flynn, Stone, and Bannon, all convicted felons. And let's remember Trump was impeached for illegally withholding foreign aid in a blackmail attempt to get a foreign leader to divulge dirt on a political opponent. Not to mention, the impeachment because of the autogolpe attempt on Jan 6. Hunter is no saint. He's likely guilty on a few things, and yes, he's profited off his famous last name. But Hunter compared to the entire Trump gang? It's golf ball for Biden versus giant, inflated, Trump beach ball. At least we agree, neither Trump nor Biden have Alzheimer's. Where they are on the dementia scale is not for us, non-medical professionals to diagnose. It's difficult to say what is just natural aging, versus an actual problem that will progress. With natural aging, there is really no issue, especially if the person has someone or someones to help him/her out. And so far, Biden hasn't had a single advisor or staff member even indicted, let alone convicted of a crime.
What a crock of horse crap. 1) Bungled the hell out of Afganistan. Really tired of hearing this from folks who supported the guy who made a deal with the Taliban to allow them to have the country as long as they waited till he was out office. Nonetheless, other than a few hectic days as the the Afghan government collapsed faster than anyone could have expected, the withdraw was a success. All Americans who wanted out got out. Yes, there was a terrorist attack, but it wasn't like it was due to weak protection. The bombers crawled up a sewer line to avoid detection. 2) Precided over more covid deaths Give me a break. You can only lead a horse to water, if the COVIDiots refuse to take a shot it is on them. It isn't like he hasn't made it a focus. Just the Pubs are owning the libs by refusing to go along and are paying the price. 3) Sold out our oil interests. This is total fabrication. He has signed more leases for drilling than Trump did and even opened up drilling on federal lands despite a his campaign promise. Sure he shut down the Keystone XL but that wasn't going to be finished for another decade so it hardly has anything to do with short term prices. And it was the right thing to do. 4) Fostered a crisis at the border Bull again. Typical Pub spin. The border is being protected and apprehensions are way up. So what... hardly a crisis, and besides other than a policy to treat the people humanly which Trump didn't do what has he done to "foster" a crisis. 5) Shat on the economy and caused inflation The same inflation that is impacting the entire world? Give me a break. Almost like we have massive disruptions to supply chains and a war going on. But sure, Blame it on Biden. 6) Invited and facilitated war. Forget you. This is the one place Biden should be getting massive credit. He played Trump's Puppet master perfectly making sure everyone was alerted to Putin's real plans and has been instrumental in pulling NATO together. If the Orange Traitor had still been in office Putin would already control Ukraine and would have had the US backed out of NATO by now. 7) Disqualifying corruption. Not sure how you managed to type that with a straight face when you are supporting the Trump Crime family.
Discussed ad nauseum in various threads. Including Putin's possible cancer. You believe what you want. It's absolutely Biden's fault that Putin's soldiers, as an example, killed a man, then raped his wife in front of her crying kids. It was so obviously an act of friendship. Or the mom who was told by soldiers it was okay to leave with her son, only to have the same soldiers shoot her son dead. He was 11 and obviously in on the whole NATO thing. Maybe he had the Hunter Biden secrets. If only Biden had helped Zelensky see that Russia was just being friendly & trying to help. Note. The. Sarcasm. Because putting this at anyone's feet other than Putin is downright delusional.
LOL! Excuses excuses for your guy... Let's investigate BOTH of them. Somehow, only Trump's shit gets investigated... That's bullshit--weaponized criminal justice system is an earmark of tyrannical regimes the world over throughout history. Biden's POTUS; his mental capacity is very much a matter of public interest. Trump is a private citizen; his mental capacity is no longer a matter of public interest.
Hunter is being investigated. And Garland made a statement that said investigation will not be impeded. Again, care to compare administrations? Trump is currently the leader of the R party. He's the frontrunnrer for the R 2024 nomination. His mental health capacity is still a matter of public interest.
...just itching for an excuse to shut opposition up, and put your finger on the scale, aren't you? Do as you please. I'll try to log back in later, and if I can't, I can't, and I guess I'll know why. C'est la vie.
Good grief. The word "children" is plural. Both of you were acting like second-graders. Quit pretending to be a victim.
