Be very careful. Freezing assets is one thing, becoming judge and jury is different. This needs to be decided by an intl court, not the US

There aren't exactly saints on that list. Obviously if it's one of the VERY FEW that have spoken out against Putin that's different. Think it's beyond doubt that Putin's assets for example aren't the assets of someone just caught up. They're welcome to sue to get their stuff back. Just like in Europe where some homes have been taken over to house Ukranian refugees.
It might have gotten locked by one mod thinking it was a dupe, or that it was a Too Hot thing. Having been a mod I think it was probably just miscommunication.

That's gonna do nothing for the war though. It'll take many years for any increase in production and refinery operations to even make a dent to the current Russian exports to Europe. It'll also take cooperation from ME countries as unilateral production changes will not be welcomed there and they can change their capacity to counteract the changes here. They're already pretty wary of American actions over the recent years, and they're drifting pretty quickly toward the Sino-Russian bloc.
