I respect the hell out of EJ and hope he gets a second chance too - but the 2nd part of your sentence is just a tad ridiculous. We aren’t fools and we’ve seen plenty enough of EJ to recognize his limitations. Great Gator and I wish him the best.
Yeah, I know, but I like the kid, he held his head high in a difficult situation. Really difficult. I'm just rooting for him. Many criticism's were justified, but some got pretty ugly.
Do we need a Safety from portal? Could see DT, WR, OL for depth, perhaps an ILB as we saw what happened after Miller’s injury last year. Can this kid come in and play the STAR position where we did not play well last year? Think they are reserving the portal for kids that could immediately start and have game experience.
If we’re unable to match the financial resources brought to bear by Miami, then we are not capable of competing at the highest levels.
