That's very telling. You can bet your ass that all of musk's businesses are about to all come under severe scrutiny by the benevolent, non authoritarian dems and the biden administration. :emoji_joy:

He asked for proof of a state changing the law to punish a company. Not some nonsense about boycotts.

But it was a state entity that took action against the Cake shop.

What I am getting from this thread is that Righties think that unconstitutionally using government to “fight back” is justifiable, because they can’t win in the marketplace of ideas.

They also think a governor that won by 33k votes has an edict to fight culture wars

Keep pushing the Disney agenda and teaching kids K-3 about sex education and see how that plays out in the marketplace of ideas. You are helping DeSantis and the pubs.

Any advice for someone such as myself who generally has no problem with the parental rights bill, but also has a major problem with DeSantis violating first amendment rights? These are two separate issues, but you can't seem to separate them.

Sure…Send Disney a letter letting them know they are on the wrong side of this and should not misrepresent a bill that their target audience supports. You have been a great asset to the community and we want you to continue to be that. And send DeSantis a letter saying you agree with him that Disney crossed the line but think there are better ways to proceed with how to handle the misstep by Disney.

You had NY legislators TRYING to stop them from opening stores. Can't have a rational conversation if you just ignore facts.

Or if you just googled Chic-fil-a getting cancelled. It's ok to admit it happened and move on.

I never said it was apples to apples. I provided proof that some states lawmakers tried to ban Chic-fil-a. It's ok to admit it happened and move on.

All good except this part. Disney crossed no line. Even if I don't agree with them, they're allowed to do or say as they please. They can misrepresent a bill all they want. They can call it whatever they want. It's a constitutional right.

So your argument was some other states have a few state legislators who are idiots and in Florida our governor is?

When you send that letter to Disney, enclose the DeS/Q manifesto so that commie company won't cross the line ever again.

They absolutely crossed the line by pushing a false narrative. But your bias refuses to hold them responsible.

Well, his parental rights bills also tend to violate people's constitutional rights. Just pointing that out.

It is not similar at all. It is applied uniformly regardless of political affiliation and is not in retaliation for expression. You seriously can’t tell the difference?

No she didn’t . She wants to hold them accountable to pay what she argues is a fair share of taxes.
