Herein lies your answer: Gators PWO Commit Keenan Landry Has Florida Connections Aplenty And to be honest, I still don't get it.
To clarify I don't get why he would go JUCO for 1 year if he qualified. Never heard of that, and I presume NIL is why he would skip a scholly at a lower level of play to PWO with UF. Makes me really want to know the back story.
NIL it’s like OnlyFans for football players. But in all seriousness this is going to be one avenue where guys may take a PWO in hopes of landing a scholarship in future and NIL can help offset costs.
From when he visited Ole Miss… "I'm hoping to leave this summer and be class of '22," stated Landry. "But I currently am class of '23." Gulf Coast defensive lineman Keenan Landry to visit Ole Miss
Still have concerns for out of State JUCO kids having required classes to join UF due to Florida college transfer rules. Burned by this before, but perhaps rules different for PWOs.
I get the concern but I think this one is probably different if he was already qualified and went the JUCO route voluntarily. But can't count your players until they're on campus.
I doubt the rules are different. I'm thinking the admissions department is more buttoned up than they were in recent years. It's easy enough for transfer prospects to figure out what classes they need to take and the grades they need to have. Grades are less important for transfers even for non-athletes. A sophomore at Fordham with questionable intellectual prowess was able to transfer to Penn a few decades ago. He later became president.

Part of me is terrified that all of these "scared money don't make money" tweets are shots at the staff for not getting enough NIL money together. After the last decade failure on the recruiting trail is all i'm able to expect lol
This thing is like some other things going on in the world around us. Don’t panic. Keep the Faith. Things ARE going to work out.
