If you're reduced to the use of Twitter and TikTok as primary evidence, you should give up . Anyone with an agenda or just using satire as in my post could easily falsely produce these by the hundreds. Thanks for playing and it is worrisome that you've accumulated these and keep them as "evidence" But you already knew that.... I hope.

 

This is truly amazing. I just bombarded this thread with like a dozen examples of this happening, and you attack the source rather than trust your own eyes and ears.

Maybe it's telling that the New York Times and Washington Post aren't talking about this stuff, unless of course they're trying to doxx the person who runs this account.

 

You forget it is already The Law. Does removing the designation from Disney make it any more the law? Just stupid governmental overreach by an authoritarian governor and violation of constitutional rights for payback

 

We'll see if it violates the Constitution.

If it does, then great, I hope this restrictive standard on government is applied across the board.

If not, I'm glad Democrats are waking up and (hopefully) realizing that government shouldn't coerce or threaten corporations into silence. I'm also glad that Democrats are finally noticing that the wealthy generally do pay plenty in taxes.

Disney's never-built Persian Resort

Disney's Persian Resort was a themed hotel planned for Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Due to the 1973 oil crisis, the project was cancelled, along with Disney's Venetian Resort and Disney's Asian Resort. Forms from 1978 showed that the Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi offered to fund the project's construction and operation but after the Iranian Revolution the project was permanently shelved. The resort was to be located on the shores of Bay Lake, not the Seven Seas Lagoon like the rest of the resorts. The early drawings would have had a monorail spur going to it and through Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom.

I have no dog in this fight. For me it is hard trying to decide which between Disney or DeSantis to root against the hardest. But the government attempting retribution against a private company for a statement made by the CEO is wrong, wrong, wrong.

 

What was the problem with this? Was it the teaching of diversity that you found problematic?

 

This thread is not about the law or what can, or can't be taught in school. It is about the government's removal of Disney's right to self-governance in response to criticizing the law.

As usual, your inability to understand the issue results in the thread being spammed.

Multiple posters (falsely) asserted that the bill that sparked all of this outrage and this quarrel between DeSantis and Disney, addresses a made up issue.

They opened the door. I simply wanted to educate this thread that these are not made up issues. They are happening. I shared the evidence, now all you need to do is trust your eyes and ears.

I think I got groomed in public school. In the 6th grade they separated the boys and girls for a "health" class. We boys saw a film strip with a lot of diagrams that I don't remember much of and then discussed penises, vaginas and how to make babies sometimes using common slang for these body parts and activities. Slang that would have gotten my mouth washed out at home were I stupid enough to say them out loud. It was a shock to my innocent and protected childhood. It must have worked though, I've been crazy about it ever since.
