I am not there now, but born and reared in Ft. Lauderdale. Many of my classmates remain, so it is not true that no one from Florida lives there. It is true that it has a different side than the rest of Florida, but I rode bareback and wrestled calves at a friend's ranch as a kid in Davie. It was once paradise in Ft Lauderdale. I fished the bluest waters. Now, it is like anywhere else people wish to go. Concrete, overpopulated, and polluted. One must look hard to find the great Florida I knew. Thankfully, I still have spots I love.
My brothers inlaws are an Orange growing family for three generations. They are inland in Vero and still do the farm life. There are still a few.
I think that IF (and I stress IF so I don't sound like i'm jumping the gun) he commits to UF, it would be a solid pick up and nothing more. I wouldn't beat the drum that "WE'RE GETTING EVERYBODY NOW!!!" and that we've REALLY broken down the IMG wall. He's a solid prospect and nothing more.
It would be a good pickup but he is a guard and we need some big league tackles. We can always slide some tackles inside to play guard. Bammer does it.
Think our coaches are getting outmaneuvered and are overmatched on the NIL front. We may have created NIL earlier, but these other programs have been paying kids under the table forever. Getting out of and outspent, as we need money on hand to offer a NIL deal.
Rivals.com - Fact or Fiction: Gators will load up with three Florida O-linemen Nothing earth shattering ... just another nugget about our OL recruiting.
In opening that article, I must say while it is ‘understandable’ how it has happened that all the ‘foreign powers’ have invaded the great state of Florida’s, talent base, nonetheless, it is disgusting. I don’t know how much money it’s going to take, but somehow, UF MUST retake their ‘fair share’ of the top ten talent.
