Cape Coral/Ft Meyers but is living in Tampa now (or at least his company is)

 

Close enough for Tampa Bay Area! And a phenomenal shooting point guard. The top pg in the nation when he signed!

 

tampa Bay Area, Tampa, Clearwater, Ft. myers, Naples. The stretch of SW Florida!

 

Naples is 3 hours away. Gainesville is closer. So is Orlando.

 

Don’t rain on my parade, I saw Livingston Chatman inducted to the SEC Hall of Fame!
His shoulders were huge. The top player in the nation when he was a high school senior. The only thing that slowed him down was his knees. We should get every five star from the SW coast. These kids know the UF is their way to the NBA!

 

Coming from a person who lived in Naples, Ft Myers, Cape Coral, Apollo Beach, and Brandon (Tampa) . . . . . . those are very distinct places, in terms of recruiting ground. There are very very very few prime time recruits coming out of Naples. Tampa is a completely different story. Combine Naples w Ft Myers/Cape Coral and it's not not even close to Tampa, in terms of fertile ground for recruiting.

Sure - there will be one here and there. I'm a fan of Scotty Stewart. He played during my undergraduate years at UF and that was a . . . .. . . . long time ago.

 

I saw Livingston play in an event in Tampa when he was a senior in high school, and he was not as good as a high school junior who played in the same game. I still remember one play when a bunch of guys, including Livingston, went up for a rebound, and one hand went up about a foot above everyone else’s and slammed home a dunk. Many of you will remember this player.

 

Name this mysterious man. I didn’t vote Livingston into the SEC hall of fame, fellow coaches, players and sportswriters did. He showed enough at Florida that I knew all round, he was an elite player. Think of some of the twig big men CMW recruited, he would have scored easily on any of them and gotten 12 to fifteen rebounds. I think he was so broad in the shoulders and chest that his knees couldn’t take all spinning and jumping your mystery man dunked over him, I would like to know both players stats that game, rebs, blocks, steals and points, for a little more understanding of the claim you made. That you went to other high school games to watch young athletes coming into the recruiting circles in Florida, I did the same went I was younger, gave me the truth on players abilities. I give you kudos and appreciate the banter.

 

The event I saw was in Tampa, and it was some type of try out for a junior or under-18 all-star team. The kid was Stacey Poole, Sr. Unfortunately, although he had a great career at UF, the 2 torn Achilles’ tendons and the torn ACL arguably kept him from becoming the greatest player in Gator history. Of course, Livingston had his own serious injury issues.

 

I'm just going to guess. That sounds like Dwayne Davis.

Talk about two players that had their knees ptoblems, Chapman and Poole are pretty high on that list.
