The fear of Ukraine joining Nato was a nonsense excuse. Putin dropped it after he was called on it and started saying it was to denazifi Ukraine.

I don’t think their munitions will be compatible with standard NATO artillery. So they will have to supply that, too.

So why hasn't he attacked NATO yet then?

    You missed that point.

In fact, why did he attack when it appeared UKR might get into NATO, instead of waiting until they were already in?

What's your grand theory as to why they attacked now, and not before, or later?

Thought I'd read the British were sending those, too, so I'd assume there's ammo somewhere for them.

I have no idea what you are trying to say here. Ukraine has never been or applied to be in NATO. He invaded now for whatever reason he had. NATO had nothing to do with it. Maybe he was waiting for his buddy Trump to pull the US out of NATO and when he lost the election he decided not to wait at least 3 more years. Putin isn't getting any younger.

If UKR had not applied to NATO...what difference would it mske, if US withdrew or not?

Fyi, Ukraine had begun the appln process.

What im saying is the even Putin isnt stupid enough to take NATO on. He wanted and wants, no part of NATO.

What he wants, is the traditional Russian territories under his thumb.

Those are not (yet anyway), NATO.

There are former Russian territories in NATO - Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania to name some.

I believe there were some news reports/"false flags" that Russia had found Nazis in Latvia.

So Poland, the Czechs and Hungary were OK but Ukraine was just a step to far.

I think reforming the Warsaw pact would be a good idea. Make them a mutual defense alliance. So they would defend no matter who attacked.

"Communication has been restored with the Chernobyl nuclear power station, the IAEA says

    From CNN's Maija Ehlinger

Direct communications between the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Chernobyl nuclear power plant was restored late Tuesday, according to a press statement from IAEA's Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi.

Russian forces held Chernobyl for five weeks before withdrawing on March 31. IAEA lost contact with the nuclear power site on March 10.

“This was clearly not a sustainable situation, and it is very good news that the regulator can now contact the plant directly when it needs to,” Grossi said in the statement.

The statement added that a "mission of IAEA experts" plans to visit the site later this month to "conduct nuclear safety, security and radiological assessments, deliver vital equipment and repair the Agency’s remote safeguards monitoring systems.""

"US ambassador to the UN calls on organization to step up response to the Ukraine refugee crisis

    From CNN's Jennifer Hansler

US Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield on Tuesday called on the organization to step up in response to the massive refugee crisis triggered by Russia’s war in Ukraine.

“Every day I'm asked … is the Security Council irrelevant to this crisis?” Thomas-Greenfield said at a UN Security Council meeting.

“We know that the world is looking to the UN and wondering how to respond in the wake of Russia's unconscionable actions,” she said. “Supporting refugees and the countries taking them in is one of the most powerful and immediate ways that we all can help and it is so important that the UN plays a key role in that.”

Thomas-Greenfield called on her fellow nations on the council to “show the world what we have learned from decades of addressing refugee crises and humanitarian situations” and support not only Ukrainians, but also third-country nationals fleeing the war. She also said they must make sure to take steps to mitigate the risk of women and children facing trafficking or gender based violence."

Actually, I'm kind of lazy in that department. I let others search the alternative news sources and listen to their synthesized version. Since I'm a prepper and into holistic medicine, I like listening to "The Health Ranger" on Brighteon.com. He's more of a doomsday prepper, but he is an extremely intelligent person. He's mentioned some of the news sources he scans, but I usually don't go there. I have others as well.

Also, my oldest brother is/was a Navy Seal back in the day. Went into military intelligence later. He used to tell me a lot of stuff that was probably classified, and told me to never tell anyone else. I remember him telling me the USS Pueblo incident was a false flag done by us. I remember (and probably many of you too) the nightly news giving the body counts during the Vietnam War. The US would kill 3000 North Vietnamese and we would only lose 2. I said "we're kicking their a$$"! He told me those numbers were completely made up to placate the American public. The MSM was lying way back then too.

Also told me about UFOs he's seen on radar. Mach 20 plus, right angles in flight, instant acceleration from 0 to mach 20 off the screen. This was in the 60's. But this is a different story.

Before the age of the internet, I used to get info via short wave. The world is much different than you believe. I think (hope) some stuff may be coming out soon. Much won't since the American public is too fragile.
