He's the same as Trump and the people who vote for him are voting for Trump in just a slightly less idiotic package.

Maybe less idiotic but far more dangerous.

He's better at some aspects of politics, but doesnt inspire any kind of fanaticism, because he has the charisma of a fresh turd, and more importantly he wasnt on a popular TV show

Seems like worse simply means "more competent."

DeSantis is far more competent than Trump but he shares the same autocratic, anti-democratic tendencies and his policies as president would be similar to Trump's. That's why you guys like him so much, right?

His political fate is pretty much entirely in Trump's hands. If Trump runs, DeSantis loses. And if Trump doesn't run but turns on DeSantis out of petty jealousy, DeSantis loses.

If Trump runs, he probably sits out and positions himself as the heir apparent, though Don Jr. might have a word. If Trump loses, he's kept a safe distance and is still well positioned for 2028.

The Trump Admin when you get down to actual policy was a pretty standard Republican Administration. Republicans were surprised Trump’s appointees pushed harder on policy efforts than it was expected despite the press going after them for it. That is one of the reason I think DeSantis is being overly aggressive in picking fights. He is trying to show Republicans he would do the same if he gets into office.

Why? Disney has billions tied to the state. It's not like they will shut down and move to another state. They have backed themselves into a corner on this issue.

No, you are crying Wolf. This happens every time a new Republican candidate emerges. The moment that happens, it is "He is the worse person ever nominated." Bill Mahar even admitted that liberals have a problem doing this>

The fact is DeSantis would not be worse than Trump. DeSantis is a Yale grad and Harvard educated lawyer. He actually understand policy and how the federal government works, where Trump did not. The Republican Establishment would be happy to work for him, when they boycotted Trump. While you might not like him, it would be much better for the country and the world to have DeSantis in the White House than Trump.

I just don't think it is a good look. DeSantis made his point and needs to move on. If he wants to be POTUS, he needs to show that he can work with big business instead of always picking fights with them.

And now DeSantis is threatening Twitter.
The party of "less government oversight" sure is trying to bully companies with.. MORE government oversight..

    RIP GOP.

Just like his mentor, smarter, much more polished, but just as petty and punitive if anybody tells him no.

What does DeSantis have to lose? Disney isnt going to move. This gives DeSantis a liberal leaning dragon to slay. He wants this fight to show others what to expect if they oppose him and as a fundraising tool.

Seems pretty obvious you'd think a younger, seemingly more competent version of Biden would be "worse" than Biden in that he would be better equipped to achieve policy victories you'd rather not see happen.

So now he wants to punish board members of a publicly traded company for exercising a perfectly legal defense strategy against a hostile takeover?

The dude is seriously out of control.

This is at least more in line with classic Republican politics, i.e. let plutocrats take what they want
