With his liabilities in every other part of the game besides 3 point shooting, his 3 point % needs to be the best on the team, by far.

I don’t buy it that every other part of his game is a liability.

Locke had a very nice stroke and when open could hit a three, but that was from a shorter distance.

Then again nobody on this year's Gator team was "money" from three and some were "money" at previous schools.

It is like reading a prospectus. What happened in the past doesn't guarentee what happens in the future.

Perhaps. I want to play point guard too but that doesn't mean I should.

Is there precedent for a player to transfer out of a school and then transfer back? I would take Noah in a second.

Is he a graduate transfer now? If not, wouldn't he have to sit out a year?

When you are only 6'2", it is tough to make the big bucks at any position other than PG, no matter how well you shoot the '3'

Tyler Harris was a smaller guard who played his first two years at Memphis. Got some pretty good minutes as well. After his sophomore year, he saw a logjam of players at his position, and 1 time transferred to a woeful Iowa State team for the 20-21 Season. Last year he was back at Memphis with a slight reduction in minutes.

He must have been a grad transfer coming back.

    Wow!
Noah Locke seems underrated for the time spent here at Florida.
A good get for Providence, former UF Coach's Billy Donovan's alma mater.

Looking at the all-time UF statistics,
Noah Locke is #9th all-time in 3-ptrs made (217). He is just ahead of Kenyon Weaks(198) and trails Mike Frazier(227).

Not one person said he wasn’t a good 3 point shooter…..it was the holes in the rest of his game that was the problem and him wanting serious minutes at the point.

If a Gator had a hole in his game, it was going to hit you right in the face if you played for Mike White. I dread to think of what Lee Humphrey’s career would have been like if he played for Mike White. I also have my doubts that Locke wanted minutes at the point. He didn’t play the point for Louisville. My guess is that he wanted to get the ball out on top as a 2. That rarely happened at UF. He also came to UF with a gorgeous jump shot and left with 2 different types of outside shots. That was strange.

Fair points but Noah was no where close to Lee in other parts of his game….except maybe free throw shooting

Honestly, we don’t know that. It’s so similar to Glover being a Division 2 player or Nembhard not being a good fit. It was a very strange last 7 years.

White HS recruiting was awful. Most kids he recruited transferred. Was selling something on recruiting trail that did not materialize on campus or simply a poor evaluator of HS talent.

I don’t see it this way. He recruited plenty of talented kids. Locke was one of them. Nembhard, Lewis, Mann, Ruzhnetsev, KJ and Reeves were big time. Very few of his signees were not good enough to play in a power conference. White simply didn’t know how to develop these kids.
