Disney used to be a totalitarian state. At least for it's employees and in following environmental regulations. Hair length, earrings, beards, disregarding water discharges and endangered species regulations. Viva le' Mouse!

I'm surprised some angry parents didn't harm them. Can you imagine being stuck in a massive traffic jam with children who are supposed to be attending Disney at that time?

 

They would deserve whatever mom-rage befell them.

Ron DeSantis wants to strip Disney World of special status

DeSantis, seen as a potential front-runner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, said lawmakers will be “considering termination of all special districts that were announced in Florida prior to 1968 — and that includes the Reedy Creek Improvement District.”

 

That shit would piss me right off. Why some people copy the same stuff they supposedly hate never fails to amaze me. Protest all you want but don't ever interfere with my civil rights and freedom to go where I want to go.

Why is this suddenly so important to the governor?

He's such a whiny, retaliatory autocrat wrapped in a faux freedom blanket.

Protest in the streets-and he makes much of unlawful.

Impose a mask ordinance-and he threatens to withhold your funding.

Complain about a new law-and he threatens to take away almost 60 year old tax status.

He's brazen about governing solely based on those who oppose him.

 

He is running in ‘24 and wants to be seen as a fighter that doesn’t back down. Disney handed him a gift on a silver platter after their CEO tried to avoid this issue but got dragged into it after Bob Igor made a comment about it.

I think this is a brush back pitch by DeSantis as I hope he doesn’t go through with it. Disney doesn’t want this fight and DeSantis doesn’t need to upset one of the biggest employers in his state.
