(GYM) NCAA Gymnastics Championships

Probably not happening sadly. Hopefully they have some miscues

 

.2 behind Okla heading to final rotation. Floor is a Gator strength so still hope.

 

OU scored a 49.725 on bars. I thought the scoring was kinda balanced, until that popped up.

 

Gators killing it in floor, but Okla is sticking all their landings.

 

Looking like OU’s bars score is going to be the difference. Highest of all time - give me a break.

Gymnastics scoring is a farce.

 

Good effort. Hard to overcome even a quasi-home court advantage in gymnastics.

OU's coach is the best in the game. If the code lets you do beam dismounts 6 years olds can stick, why would you do anything else?

 

Damn vault cost us the title

 

Great effort by the ladies. Heartbreaker.
Trinity finishing with a 10.

 

Frustrating way to end the season. Proud of the team, but was probably as good a shot at the title as we could have asked for.

 

Oklahoma was a juggernaut after their first rotation. Dug in and won that meet with an extraordinary effort.
Gators could not overcome the vault. Florida was great. Oklahoma better.

 

ou handled adversity and nerves better. nya and savannah looked petrified on their vaults and sloane the same on bars. any questionable scoring was icing on the cake we baked. ou deserved to win. uf left too much on the competition floor.

 

So we should be critical of Florida scoring over 198? Come on now. Sure Oklahoma was solid in the last rotation with Florida breathing down their throats, but it sure appeared the Sooners were getting the benefits of doubt in that last rotation. Any sport that scores by judges is shaky to say the least. Never the less, our kids had an outstanding tournament in Oklahoma's backyard.

 

Great effort by the ladies. Just dug too much of a hole on the vault. Kudos to Richards stepping up and having her FIRST VAULT OF THE YEAR counted as well as probably the best floor routine of her career.

No shame in coming in second. You can't control the scoring. Having a vault with a hop get the same score as Trinity's was a farce...as was Skaggs' beam score.

All in all, a great year. There was no choking this year. Oklahoma took care of business in a very tight match.

So long to Skaggs and Bauman. Two GREAT Gators. Hopefully they'll stay active in the program over the years to come.

 

She needs to be fired . I mean that’s what we do . Mary Wise should have been gone long ago !

 

The Utah gymnasts were hot

 

A hop and a no-hop getting the same score seems ridiculous unless there were some other elements of the routine that were different in their execution

 

Number 2 in the country and you want to fire the coach. Then we need to fire all the coaches except the track coach. If grizgator and wing tee win every time than I stand corrected
