Yes we can reach a point when new infections are stable. And vaccines can assist in that but are not dependent upon.

 

So when you say herd immunity, you think it means thousands of cases a day but having that as a steady state?

BTW, the other way to reach herd immunity is to give the disease to a very high proportion of the population. Should we be trying to achieve that as a goal?

 

In March, people who are fully vaccinated contracted COVID-19 about as much as those not fully vaccinated yeah, these vaccines really work, right?

 

I have to wonder if posters refuse to comprehend science concepts, can't actually understand them, are simply playing dumb, or just trolling. SMH

 

On preventing the virus, that is not true. If you have been freshly boosted you will get a boost against catching the disease. It is nowhere near 100% but it is substantial. Yes it does wear down pretty quickly in a matter of months but immunity against severe disease lasts longer.

As to masks on the plane I wore a KN-95.

 

what part of contracting almost as much is misunderstood?sorry if facts cloud your perception that the vaccines are wonder drugs, just goes to show not all of them are equal to the hype they were given, people fully vaxed still get covid whether you believe it or not, the vaccines are not all that great.

 

Still don't understand? I'll simplify. If all but two people were vaxed, and someone vaxed got covid..... does that prove the vax makes you have covid? Does it prove that the vax is a failure? Or does it show that only one person in that time period got covid because the rest were vaxed and so the infections were way down?

I agree there isn’t much reason any more unless you’re at extremely high risk due to some sort of immunodeficiency. But let’s not pretend that these shots didn’t save millions of lives before this virus started to wimp out.
