I attended one of the earliest Grad Nights (1975.) It was an 8 hour drive from Key West. We had a faaabulous time!

Not just promoting gay day, but also making the Christian version of God out to be a world class butthead and terrorist supporting murderer … lets go Jesus.

And in 1998, [Pat Roberts] warned that Disney's "Gay Days" might convince God to send"terrorist bombs" or "possibly a meteor" to punish the city of Orlando, Florida.

I think it's more parents versus teachers, really.

They used to close Disney down for concerts too. I went to two of them... great fun.

The legislation prompted the latest scuffle, but DeSantis evidently has a laundry list of grievances against Disney.

I was going to mention the Southern Baptist Convention Boycott of Disney. Prediction is that DeSantis attack on the Mouse will damage Disney about as much as the Southern Baptist Boycott did. In other words it will have little or no real impact on either attendance at the Disney parks or on the company's bottom line.

It is completely trumpian though, is it not. Lots of outrage about something so vague that the audience is then able to fill in according to their own outrages of the moment.

I'm a never mouser though. Never been so my opinion doesn't amount to much.

Speaking of Trump, I wonder how he feels about his in-state competition? I can't imagine he'd be thrilled with this younger, fresher competitor for headlines. Especially if he (Trump) is serious about a 2024 run.

The Orange one is apparently not very happy with the possibility of competition from DeSantis although he later referred to the story about a potential conflict as "fake news" which in Trump speak means it was probably accurate.
Trump slams “dull” DeSantis ahead of potential 2024 matchup

Putin wants a Trump - Tulsi ticket, we'll have to see if GOP gives him what he wants

Speaking only for myself I am only obsessed with defeated former presidents who try to actively influence policy and are actively campaigning for the office.

Pretty sure Disney is more concerned with copyright expiring in the very near future. Been rumblings that they will not get another extension. It is worth boat loads of money.
