It is worth it for treatment of injuries actually. After diagnosis, you could try to find a PT who specializes in EDS issues, as some PT techniques used on the general population can actually make EDS issues worse if administered to EDS people. I highly recommend getting a diagnosis to help manage the symptoms properly. (disclaimer- not a medical doctor, but somebody who has experience in this realm)

 

My former PCP agreed I was symptomatic enough to order an ultra sound of my aorta since that is the greatest concern. I don't typically self diagnose but the combination of 2 torn shoulders, 2 fracture dislocations of my wrists, a blown out knee, extreme bruising , POTS, hyper mobility, hyper elastic skin etc was enough to have my PCP and ortho agree. They also said there isn't much getting diagnosed with it will change for the better.

It is crazy that some still want to blame people who have decided not to get the jab. Many have better protection than those that have gotten the jab as they already had Covid. Even so…we see the jab fails to stop spread. So onto booster number 4. The fauc says so lol.

It's unfortunate that the vaccine is only about 30% effective from preventing illness. But that's what variants do. They mutate and evolve and the variant that is more effective at evading things like vaccines are the ones that survive and thrive. Still, while case counts may be higher than we wish, even among the vaccinated, if you want to better your odds at staying out the hospital, or worse, the morgue, then the vaccine is clearly your best bet.

So go ahead and enjoy your circle jerk about prominent D politicians getting COVID. Given their ages, if/when few if any have to visit a hospital with COVID, and not a one dies, that's the vaccine at work.

Not at all. If they were unvaccinated, then scorn would be deserved. But a group of vaccinated people all got sick, the chances of them needing hospitalization or dying is low enough, that it shouldn't be a big deal. This article was published in January claiming that case counts isn't the most important metric any more. Why? From the article:

One reason is that those levels were set before vaccination, and have not been adjusted accordingly, even though a large proportion of cases, in part due to the growing proportion of cases that are breakthrough cases, are now mild.

Mild cases that don't need hospitalizations aren't a major cause of concern. And the best way to avoid hospitalization due to COVID? Get vaccinated.

How does the polio vaccine compare to the COVID 19 vaccine in terms of functionality and effectiveness in preventing infection? How about preventing disease??

 

The Covid theatrics are tiring and the portion of the American population that bows to the alter of Fauci (Dr. Doom) are not going away. There will be a portion of the populace that will wear masks for the rest of their lives. It still shocks me. The lemmings will boost and boost again with delusions to its efficacy. No, the "cohort" was 35 adolescents who had severe reactions to the vaccine, 19 of whom were not in the final statistics because they did not meet the criterion set up for this "cohort". Of the remaining 16, 10 had prolonged symptoms. So, 28% of children in this "directed cohort" who had severe reactions also had protracted symptoms. That is nothing close to "63% of children".

Meanwhile, the MMWR reported statistics on over 1 million people from around the country, including a cohort of adolescents 480,000 who were vaccinated and another ~75,000 who were not vaccinated but were infected. Records were selected from 40 medical systems around the country. Meanwhile, millions more around the world have been vaccinated and in no reality are 63% of our adolescents suffering from myocarditis or pericarditis, let alone suffering from symptoms 8 months later. Never mind the piss poor use of terrible statistics, that does not even come close to meeting the common sense test.

As for peer review, you do realize that the study was performed by people NOT at the CDC, and in fact, the MMWR is "reviewed" by CDC staff prior to publishing.

 

Yes the polio vaccine is effective. Hence we achieved herd immunity in the US and many places.
