That Caucasian line left me scratching my head too. Race couldn’t be more irrelevant to a discussion about Tom Petty music

 

Music period.

 

It’s a dumb take since it ignores he had ties to the city and school. I have not been to home game but I would hope they are playing more modern music throughout the game to keep people energized. I would agree that you can’t complain about the student section if all you do is have the marching band and Tom Petty. If the point he is trying to make is that they need add some juice I’m for it he might have just conveyed it poorly.

 

Just wondering out loud how young black people respond to it. Probably not an issue but I'm from the marketing world and always thinking of demographics.

 

Agree. The dude’s take was tired and junk. Good music is colorblind, and Tom Petty was a great one.

Funniest is he makes a racial comment about TP music while in the video there are Gator fans of ALL COLORS singing the TP song.

That poster just lacks culture. Small minded and probably would prefer someone like Kodak black which lets be honest, is not a family safe music artist. Dude is just a clown that twitter ran off. Lol

 

Kodak was a bad and desperate look for Mullen.

 

Kids liked it but still a bad standard to set. If a coach is trying to create young men, not the greatest example.

If true, very sad. I don’t care what team a kid plays for. Given a gift from God, but bad choices may derail a chance to develop and use them to their full potential, if at all. Prayers for all involved in that situation, especially the g/f.
