Listen to Barkley (and Shaq) on Dr. Phil’s podcasts and both are funny and knowledgeable.

I think Barkley is a national treasure. Have often said that if I could have lunch or a beer with any athlete, I'd choose Charles Barkley.

I figured I get some disagrees, no problem. Just not a fan for several reasons. Barkley seems to be a guy that people love or hate.

I watch UF basketball and that's about it for hoops. IMO listening to ESPN talking heads about basketball or anything else is a waste of time. if you look at the daily schedule for the ESPN channels, it seems like 90 percent of the programs are just people talking, or else it's college football reruns. It's like they just can find a softball game or anything else in the country to broadcast instead of people running their mouths.

I just wanted to get that off my chest.

Shaq doesn't seem to like Barkley much sometimes . . . at least it appears to me.

I haven't watched too much of the half time shows but it seems like Chuck is a lot more sober than in some previous years.

What I like about Chuck is that to him the game is simple because he was so talented that for him the game was simple.

I love so many athletes and would love to shares beers with him.

But the one athlete that I would love to share a beer with was a baseball player named Billy Beane. He never panned out as a player even though he was projected to be great. But he came to understand baseball at a high level and changed the game.

I actually knew about Bill James well before the A's did and I knew it was right. Baseball is all about getting edges with odds and he laid out the way to do that.

Count me as one that prefers guys that normally cover the college game in these situations. However, Chuck's no-holds-barred analysis at halftime last night was spot on. The dude knows basketball, even if he can't always remember players' names.

I am surprised that Kenny is not coaching. He strikes me as qualified enough to be a head coach in college or the NBA. It could be that he is making a ton of money in his current position.

According to reports, he makes 4mil/year. Why coach and go through all that stress when you can sit at the desk and shoot the crap with Ernie, Shaq, and Sir Charles? I know you alluded to this, just agreeing.

Because he would treat you like a normal dude. Chuck isnt the snooty elite former athlete. Chuck would chug a beer with a group of fellas at a bar, buy a round talk hoops and high five everyone on his way out.

Really wish the guy had won a chip.

He and the Mailman really got robbed having to fight those Bulls teams.

ESPN and SEC carry a lot of softball. UF/FSU last night in fact.

Wow! I agree. No point in the stress of coaching when you’re making that much.

Uf/arky baseball was on sec tonight. Though both of those games may have been better off being hidden online…or on the radio. :(

Well duh, Kellogg is better at college because that's his forte. Put him on the Inside the NBA set on TNT to discuss NBA hoops and he'd be out of his element as a "stumbling, bumbling idiot" too.

I watched it. Despite all its channels ESPN carries one or two softball games a day (plus a couple of reruns) when it's not football season. Basketball I care nothing about unless it's the Gators. One thing I like about the softball games is that the women's softball uniforms seem to fit the women a lot better than the men's baseball uniforms fit the men. I wonder why that is.
