It is not herd immunity. Never has been herd immunity to Coronavirus. People The target is always that a Coronavirus becomes mold or a cold where people get sick.

Jesus I may have to put you on ignore also, as you keep polluting threads with your childish Fauci obsession.

It is really quite simple. You can’t achieve traditional long term herd immunity when the disease incubates faster than it takes long term resistance to kick in. It will still be able to spread widely and as a result will end up mutating. It is possible that the population can build up some level of serious disease resistance.

In Fauci’s and others defense, two years ago they had no idea how the disease would progress. They didn’t have a crystal ball. It may have been theoretically possible to develop a quasi level of herd immunity / resistance based upon the original variants. But with first Delta then Omicron and now Omicron 2.0 each variant becomes more transmissible.

Fauci was hesitant early on when things were dying down to say that Covid was going to go away soon. He was criticized for that, but turns out he was right.

wow, cases sinking faster than the titanic and the doom and gloomers are at a loss, nothing to complain or criticize, oh well, guess they hope for another outbreak so they can resurface, meanwhile the rest of us enjoy the moment.

Cases are actually starting to tick up again, particularly in the north east and case numbers are up in Florida.

yeah, average per day so far in april 19,350. 7 day average lowest since july 14 of last year, so i guess a jump from just over 19,000 a day is a outbreak, right?

It’s already pretty much returned where I am. Can’t recall the last time I wore a mask but it’s been since Omicron started it’s decline. You still under lots of mandates in Gainesville?

Zero mandates ever in Ocala. Some stores required masks, lowes, Home Depot, etc. but nothing here was ever mandated or, more to the point, enforced

Went to Vegas on business a few weeks ago. It was business as usual. Masks only needed at the airport. Busy all over. Here in Phoenix metro, no masks at all.

Didn’t say that. Said there is an Uptick in the last week or so in. We are seeing a super spreader in DC. Cases increasing in some places. Time will tell where we are

The vast majority of folks are no longer wearing masks per CDC guidelines. For all your clamoring for normalcy you seem like the last person to accept that things have greatly normalized already with regards to covid.

Just let go. Cuomo and Fauci can no longer hurt you.

No he Is not. No matter the obsession that the sick, mentally deficient anti-science right wing ignorant folks have with Fauci. Fauci has a multi decade career across multiple presidents of both parties for which he deserves honor. A million dead from this disease that people like you have minimized for more than two years. Lots of people listened to the garbage people like you spread and didn’t listen to Fauci. And hundreds of thousands or more paid the price for listening to these ideas. Then again, there are a lot of weak minded people on this planet.
