I regret that I have but one "like" to give. Listening to them you'd think this was a Cinderella story.

Nobody ever overachieves. It is impossible. It is like giving 110% of your maximum effort. It is impossible.

UNC got hot once before as an #8 seed and all us Gator fans know about it: 2000.

We became the secome team to beat both Duke and UNC in the same NCAA tournament that year. Iowa was the first one IIRC.

I thought I remembered Louisville doing it in the 1986 Tournament. I followed Denny Crum starting when I was 11. I'm pretty sure they did because I remember thinking whoever won that game was winning it all (and they did). I know they beat Duke for the championship.

    You are correct.

    Maybe my memory was incorrect.

Only reason I remembered was because it involved Louisville back then. LOL! :)

Did they have an incredible leaper from the guard spot that got hurt? Doctor Dunkenstine or something like that?

For a brain fart I thought he played at Iowa.

I disagree that 110% is impossible. Lance Armstrong is my source.

Darryl Griffin, played professionally at Utah….?

Those Louisville Teams were fun to watch at tournament time.

Considering they should have gotten the death penalty a few years they should be happy they have a team at all.

Sorry @GatorLurker . . . my grandchildren wore me out yesterday and I fell asleep early.

    You have a good memory!

Dr. Dunkenstien was Darrell Griffith . . . but he played on the Louisville 1980 Championship team.

Milt Wagner was a guard that went out with a broken foot in '85 and played as a 5th year senior on the 1986 Championship team.

Well, it's hard to argue this summary but there it is. Plenty of big names and good programs are missing.
