I like Thomas a lot, but not sure he is a DT at present. May follow the Zach Carter arc of strong DE that slides inside later
Ma He is over 300 pounds and from watching him in high school more of a defensive tackle. If he could play the End spot with his size that would be very helpful in certain situations but, he will stay inside I think most of the time
Looked a little lean at end of last season, of course thats natural for a 6-5 freshman. Would prefer him at DT with Boone and Sapp handling the outside role
Thomas was injured all last season until the Bowl Game when he got his 1st PT, he's listed at 309 now and I doubt he plays outside. Think Umananlien, Boone, and Sapp (and Zanders?) will hold down the SSDE spot.
Agree on Boone and Sapp, although I think you’ll see Sapp slide inside some. He’s quick and will prob carry enough weight to move inside on pass rush downs. On Thomas, I could have sworn roster I saw was 6’5 314. In high school seeing him up close he was easily 285-290.
Woah. Not sure I believe it, but having Watson, Dexter and Thomas on the field in '23 at the same time would be imposing in size.
What's with OSU's safety exodus? They get a new position coach or they being pushed out by better talent?
