She is someone’s wife like JK Simmons is someone’s husband and they made fun of him. But like Jada Smith, they are both celebrities. she is very much in the celebrity-world public eye. And every celebrity should go into that room realizing they could get zinged. side note : Checkout JK Simmons in series “Counterpart”. And definitely movie “Whiplash”
Pretty much. Ricky Gervais went on an epic rant a few years ago at the Golden Globe awards (much to the delight of that certain crowd who hates how hoity toity and pretentious Hollywood stars are) where he ripped into celebs sitting in the crowd...he basically called Martin Scorsese a midget/little person and Scorsese just kind of shrugged it off.
Not a Rock fan, Chris or Kid and the joke wasnt all that funny but it's a friggin joke, not something to get assaulted for on national tv. Im sure the "Smiths" have heard a lot worse. Just tired of the whole Will/Jada Smith circus. Used to be a fan of his, not anymore. Im guessing Rock doesnt file charges and Will Smith puts out some lame apology.
That’s what bullies say when confronted, “It was just a joke.” If a joke offends and hurts someone then it’s not a joke, it’s an insult. If you’re a comedian telling jokes that hurts and offends then you’re not a comedian, you’re an a-hole.
He is literally a professional comedian. So yes it was a joke. And if we are going to draw the line at offensive jokes then we might as well shut the whole genre down.

Chris Rock is a bully? Get serious. Im not a fan of Rock or the joke, but Ive heard far worse from many comedians and never once saw one get attacked. You need a thicker skin than that especially if you are living your life in the public and thru social media as the Smiths and many celebs do. The "bully" tag does not work at all.
I disagree, and I didn’t say anything about offensive jokes, just attempts at jokes that can be viewed as a personal attack, and are insulting and hurtful to the person it’s directed at.
I can’t wait to see what he has to say about this in his next stand up routine. Talk about some low hanging fruit.
What’s funny about your “you need a thicker skin” comment is I seriously doubt you could handle someone making fun of your wife or kids. Either you would defend them, join in by laughing at their expense, or run away like a punk b!t*h. Which is it?
