Then your hyperlink saying 85% is lying. I clicked on it and it had the numbers right there. My assumption is they decided to not use those who cannot be vaccinated in calculating their percent of population. Which is the type of disinformation used to create a narrative.

Your own link confirms exactly what I said.

We absolutely gave vaccinations to the more vulnerable populations first. Am I misreading your post or are you saying something different.

I believe you are correct here. Mea culpa. According to the BBC link, looking at 12 and older, 8 in 10 are fully vaccinated. But from a prior link, it also stated only 54% of 12 - 17 year olds were vaccinated. And currently, very few under 12 have been vaccinated in the UK, though numbers are rising.

Still, the point from the other link still holds. That age adjusted, unvaccinated die at a higher rate than the unvaccinated.

but as you might not know, this section has nothing to do with gator athletics, or can you not see that? it is a forum for almost totally political commentary, thus the nationwide discussion on covid, sorry if that offends you.

Derp derp derp. Most of the people in this thread and this specific message board are from Florida. Certainly you can wrap your brain around why Florida politics are going to be of greater importance on here than any other state. Right?

Checked back in on this thread. So far it appears that some diehards are still arguing against the vaccine and Buckeye continues to make inane predictions that will almost certainly backfire. K - I'm good. :emoji_v:

Biden is killing COVID here. Big outbreak in China. But in the USA, winning is spelled B-I-D-E-N!

Lowest number of new hospitalizations (7-day avg) in the US going back at least as far as 8/2020 (that's as far as CDC goes back).

    Go GATORS!

still waiting for the omicron 2.0 sub variant to arrive, guess it has passport problems getting into the country, maybe you know who can speed it along so we talk to him again.

This one is a head scratcher for anyone that is not immunocompromised or lives with someone who is. There is no real compelling data for this, despite no safety data against it. I would rather go through spring and summer and make this a fall shot like the flu if the longterm T-cell studies justify it. Right now, frankly they don't for most of the population.

At this point the government needs to stop paying for testing, shots or boosters. Either go through your insurance or self pay if you want any of it.

If Florida got back up to 5-7k new cases a day I would consider it, but as long as we are staying under that, the risk of getting sick fades into the background noise of life.
