You know, if I was an $8M NIL quarterback, I’d take $2M and spread the remaining $6M among my 2-deep Offensive linemen. Talk about a way to recruit the best available talent and only improve your shot at an even bigger payday

During Brady Super Bowl years with Pats, he took less in contract to afford a team around him. He has never been the top paid QB. The Mahomes and Rodgers type contracts are killers for team depth. Even some of these new WR contracts are crazy cap killers. Like the Dolphins when they signed Suh to the cap unfriendly contract. You don’t sign a DT that is not getting sacks for that type of contract. The best GMs and coaches know which positions to spend the money on. If Brady was the highest paid QB in the NFL all those years with Pats, he would not have won or played in all those Super Bowls. Look at Packers now having lost two WRs to the Raiders and Chiefs.

Funny - especially considering that Brady wouldn’t have landed much NIL coming out of Michigan

Except in college there is no "cap"... the UT qb recruit can just tell those boosters to give the OL $8m too instead of giving up his cash

Yeah, he probably wouldn't have cashed in back then if there were NIL contracts then. But, eventually....

Ya know, you would think trolling would go the way of the dinosaur with the way the transfer situation is now. Guys move around so much now that burning bridges at SEC schools is not a smart strategy to keep all your future options open. But, it still seems to happen anyway.

It's clear that this new staff is willing to put a lot of effort into recruiting the OL.

I don’t think PKAY is trolling. Both him and his momma are real positive about UF.
