Mark Few gets the most out of the talent on his teams.

Then why when they are #1 they get beat. So you thought Ark had more talent. They are overrated, good but Few struggles in dance or they are overrated has to be one or the other.

If that's true, maybe he needs to recruit better. ;) Im a Few fan, but either way the W/L are on him.

17 wins in the last 5 NCAA tournaments is not really struggling. That averages to half way between the Elite Eight and the Final Four in each tournament.

He's a good coach but he has the best talent and gets beat by lesser talent so not sure he gets the most out of his talent.

This talent influx is recent. Few has been doing it for a long time with lesser time

Nembhard just had an off shooting game - as did some other Zag players like Bolton who is usually money on open threes and Strawther who is usually pretty good on threes as well. Nembhard has gotten much better at hitting those one handed jumpers in the lane. Those shots were just a little off (plus a couple of unlucky bounces) against Arky. He did barrel in too fast on a couple of the layups he missed. Few has pushed Nembhard to be more aggressive in looking for his own shot, but I actually prefer AN to stay more in his playmaking role where he is as good as it gets.

I've watched Gonzaga all season, and I came away thinking they'd win about 7 or 8 out of ten against Arky. But, in a one-game "series" anything can happen. It didn't help that their 7-footer Holmgren got into foul trouble with a couple of questionable calls. It also hurt Gonzaga down the stretch when the refs missed an Arky player's whole foot stepping out of bounds (they hit a 3-pointer right after) and missed an obvious trip of a Zag player that led to an Arky bucket I believe. Gonzaga was forced into pretty much a have-to-foul situation at that point in what had become a very close game despite their shooting woes.

Arky's defense definitely helped slow them down, but the Zags have faced similarly tough defenses before.

I, too, pulled against Gonzaga for several years after their climb-over-the-back buzzer beater tip-in against us. (Wasn't that guy's name Calvary?). But, I eventually got over it.

Nembhard has become a little bit better of a shooter but not much. That performance is what I remember here as he struggled to hit open shots here.

Teams that play at the threshold of a foul every second of the game may never make a run past the final four. To do that means you have to have officiating that turns a blind eye to push offs, quick hand jabs, reach ins and body contact for five or six consecutive games. Arkznsas can be overwhelming at times, and thrn again....

AN stats were not significantly different than when at UF. He is who we thought he is.

Of course his stats were different, just not necessarily the ones you are looking at. He actually is who I thought he was, which is a damn good point guard with an excellent chance of having an NBA career..

He was exactly the same guy he was at UF, a good point guard with real liabilities, covered up a little better with the best lineup in the country around him and an easier schedule. He has not improved his nba stock in anyways whatsoever and he’s still a future Euro guy which is not a bad gig and a much better fit for him

I don't see this. His stats invariably improved over the last two years. Some of the efficiency stats didn't improve, but the numbers overall became better.

I would say you’re wrong on everyone of your points. Otherwise, I agree with you.
