Loved hearing that Golden wants to recruit more foreign guys.
We need big men and eastern Europe, Africa and Australia have a ton.

According to a study done by Rukkus Blog on 2016-2017 rosters, 11 percent
of college basketball players are born outside of the United States. The total
number of foreign-born prospects on college rosters is up 40 percent in the
    last 10 years.

    EXHIBIT A:
OSCAR TSHIEBWE, 6’9 CENTER, KENTUCKY WILDCATS, DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO
Tshiebwe started playing basketball a year before he moved to the United States at 15 years old, but the athletic big man is well on his way to a career in the NBA. Two games into the season, Tshiebwe is averaging 15.5 points and 20 rebounds a game for John Calipari and could lead the Wildcats to a deep run in the NCAA tournament (or lose to Saint Peters early in the 1st Rd ) .

So we ignore the kids in the USA to have those spots taken up by foreigners? Don’t like it a bit!

I just want the best players that form the best team as Coach Golden wants to assemble it.

I don't care if the players are born in the USA or elsewhere, or any combination (which is most likely). As long as they want to be Gators.

You hate that Mike signed Jason Jitoboh? Harsh.

My takeaway is that Kentucky has been better at evaluating talent than we have. Even when we ink an elite player, they often underwhelm. I'm looking at you, Chris Walker.

Get use to it. We should have been going after skilled bigs when CMW was here.

There are universities overseas where they can play. Our tax dollars should go to support Americans kids. I’m not in to Europe, Middle East or anywhere else. Not loving the global fellowship bs.

Ahhh . . . . my friend, you are becoming crusty in your (ahem) older age :p. Just coming from a higher ed perspective, I LOVE international students. Have one from China right now and another from Trinidad and Tobago. Both are extraordinarily smart, kind, and hard-working. In addition, our U.S. students benefit from what you refer to as their perspectives in the form of "global fellowship." I assure you wing, it's not bs! :)
