UNCW should have been a tourney at large imo. But I'm biased living here, but they got upset in their conference championship. Mike had a nice career for the Hawks and made the perfect choice coming here. He is a very good mid major player.

Same thing with Nembhard; a very good mid-major player, but not good enough to succeed at UF.

We’re all fortunate Wilmington didn’t play Samford. Glover/Okauru would have been a cataclysmic matter/anti-matter collision

Not to take anything away from Okauru, but Glover actually is quite a bit better than him. Okauru could have helped the Gators this year had he stayed, but because of his reduced playing time in his sophomore year, he bailed out.

Do you blame him? That is the reasons a lot of recruits moved on from UF the past 6 years. I hope this is something coach Golden will address, which is keeping a core group of players together for a full 3-4 year stretch.

You must have missed Golden’s press conference yesterday where he spoke up the portal and basically said “transfers” are a way of life in college athletics and that it is not a bad thing.

Also, UF did not have an unusual number of transfers under Mike White. The fact is almost every school normally has multiple players leave each year and even more so now with the relaxed eligibility rules.

I remember Brett Blizzard from there playing at the O'Dome. That kid could shoot it.

At UF, they almost all left. Tre Mann was leaving regardless of the coach. Lewis and Ruzhnetsev appeared to be bailing out by turning pro. Throw a pile of transfers on top of the heap. Two of Billy’s recruits (Hayes and Allen) stayed all 4 years. I believe that’s it for the Mile White era.
