Coach Mike White has hired Erik Pastrana from Florida to follow him to Georgia. That really sucks for us and recruiting the state of Florida.
Pastrana was only here for 1 year and they had a 5 star in this class and a top 20 overall class. In comparison, the 2021 class was ranked 51, the 2020 class ranked 41. Many people have commented that we need to keep Pastrana.
Screw mid major Mike. He’s basically coaching at another mid major now as that is what georgias basketball program is at it’s best.
I have mixed feelings on this. I get the immediate recruiting implication, but did he bring other coaching abilities to the table? It’s not like we improved on offense, our number one need headed into last season. It’s hard for me to get too upset about someone leaving whose primary asset is recruiting because to be honest I feel like that is the easiest replacement.
