Personally, I think that Curry has the best shooting form in the game. It’s an early release which gives him maximum push from his legs. I also think that players can be taught how to shoot, although in some cases it’s hard to break through the bad habits that have developed over a lengthy period of time. I also think that open shots taken in rhythm have a much greater chance of going in than do contested shots.

Wasn't excited when first announced but my tune has changed after watching that PC.

Essentially said if we didn't have championship expectations as a program it'd be a red flag.

Sure is a typical ass. C+ grade coming from a has-been F- writer doesn’t hold much weight though.

I’m cautiously optimistic after that presser. He’s not Napier, but seems bright enough…but does come off as a bit salesmany.

Wow that was bad. Really bad. His answer to the first question made me think eh forgot there was a press conference. "Coach White, what is your plan to get Georgia in the tournament?" CMW: "Uh, (long pause), uh, we gotta get better. We gotta build. We have to get better offensively and defensively." Yeah, great plan there Mike. What happened to that guy?

yikes. Man that was awkward. To me White looked a lot like a guy who's maybe still trying to convince himself he's made the right career choice.

the desperate applause every time he said anything even remotely complimentary of Georgia was pretty funny, though.

I though the exact same thing. He did not look confident, and when they asked him when he knew GA was right choice, he’s like “Sunday when I got the call”. Reeks of desperation.

Some were almost non-existent. More than once I wondered, did our coach, not care or was his personality try to control what you can. Mick Jagger sang “you can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometime, you might find, you get what you need”. When Coach k and Duke played Michigan St., both Izzy and k were working the refs the whole game, guiding them. Oh what a novel thought! By the way, it was a tremendous game with tough rebounding, defense and offensive plays were called every time down the court. Very few turnovers till the end. Two good coaches putting their players in the best position to succeed. Our game with Xavier, our second half was nothing but one on one hero ball, then chuck it up and run down to try and stop the fast break from them getting the numerous missed shots.
Embarrassing for our program. Our players deserve better coaching than that. Hopefully Todd can provide a offense that will work and not rely on threes the whole game. Can’t wait to see if he is the real deal, but first he needs to fill out the thirteen slots and find some coaches who will complement his strengths!

Normally I wouldn't put much stock into these press conferences but wow, what a difference between those two. I love how Coach Golden got more comfortable as it went on and was joking around by the end. He looked completely prepared but also had great answers on the fly. I know there's a lot of uncertainty, but watching that press conference made me way more excited for the upcoming season.

White looked surprisingly uncomfortable for a guy who has done countless press conferences at UF, a place with a lot higher expectations than UGA.

I do hope we can find him a tailor. He looked like he was wearing a Penney’s off-the-rack :)

Yep. We've had a habit of poor shot selection in recent years.

What a trip down memory lane that video inspired. So many great Gators. Loved Jason Williams saying that a behind-the-back pass is great analytics too. And Lee Humphrey looking forward to lots of 3s.

I think CMW knew he had to produce big results this season, so he rolled the dice and brought in a bunch of guys with experience and some defensive prowess. Unfortunately, it didn't pay the dividends he expected, and he knew next season would be rougher.

Yeah, BD said that he always wanted at least 3 guys on the court that could shoot 3s well. That was the key to making his offense go. Sounds like Coach Golden takes it even a step further.
I loved hearing Coach Golden say that his staff charts all possessions during practice for analytics. He's way ahead of the curve in his thinking. Erik Fawcett is floating on a cloud made of cotton candy right now.

I don’t even care. Golden seems much more driven. However it happened, I’ll take the new guy.
