It’s tough ask for an incoming coach to keep a class together. So I won’t fault Golden. But I will be both disappointed and concerned if he doesn’t retain Pastrana.
I hope he rethinks the decision once Golden gets a chance to speak with him. We need the talent. I wonder if he is thinking of following White to Georgia.
This hurts. Hope there is still a chance to bring him back into the fold but with this announcement, he is probably headed elsewhere. I think I read golden had already spoken to the recruits before the loss to Xavier. If so, seems Reneau is gone gone.
Yeah, Golden was reported as having reached out to the recruits already. But until Malik signs elsewhere I’ll keep hoping he’ll recommit to the Gators. Yeah I know it’s a small chance and not likely but what the hey *shrug*
He's not recommitting. Best to start focusing on other guys who want to be here. Not saying anything bad about Reneau... the circumstances under which he committed have changed, so it's only fair if he decided to bolt.
If he follows MW to UGA, I'll never root for MW ever...even if they're playing FSU. And I despise FSU!

Not unless basketball is different than football, and I don’t believe it is. You can always leave and go somewhere else, but you can’t just decommit. You’d have to transfer or be released from your loi. It doesn’t really matter. It’s semantics. End result is the same.
