I haven't read through the thread and don't really know what's going on. Were there valid claims of mistreatment or threatening behavior beyond mean tweets?
Guess I’m just getting older. I know a lot comes with position but there are limits. I always thought you could say your piece without crossing some of the lines currently, that get crossed. Saying anything, anything to someone’s wife and kids….off limits. No one makes enough that , anyone can say over the top things, because he does.
I don’t think so. I think it was just intensity if criticism; calls for his firing… that kinda stuff.
I tell this story all the time, Bianchi in 1984 shows up at Interlachen to do a story and put on some pads to practice against Interlachens football team. Back then IHS was good, Bianchi thought the boys would take it easy on him but they had read some articles about how our guys were having a mediocre season. So Bianchi takes a pitch from the QB and sweeps around the right side and Bam gets nailed by 2 defenders. One broken leg and an ambulance ride later I never saw him again show up at IHS to run his mouth and try and practice with us. It was a beautiful sight him getting nailed. His leg, well it got better, but his way of writing has never changed.
My O.P. had more to do with Mike Biatchi than CMW. As I mentioned in the other thread, I don't have anything bad to say about him. But with MB or Dooley, can't stand them. I'm on different MBs and I can tell you that there are tons of trolls out there. They like to pretend to be fans of their rival school to make them look bad. Don't get me wrong. There are idiotic gators fans, but their not all as bad as MB or Dooley paint them to be. If you are one of those fans who attacks the coaches family, shame on you. Just because they get paid millions of dollars doesn't give you the right to do that. Going back to MB/Dooley. I've seen lots of vicious UCF fans lately, but MB/Dooley won't write about them. I know why. Because nobody gives a s_it about that..... I often wondered why these guys are so negative when it comes to gators/fans. Did they get fired from gator country mags?

Then it seems that some of the recent "hot" takes by Bianchi and Dooley are little more than blather. I can't be sure and don't wish to take any kind of dive into it, but some have intimated that there may have been threats or mistreatment.
So I guess if Cal was the Gator coach you would fire him tonight ! Along with the rest of the “Gator Firing Squad”
…….but, they failed to produce a quality product and were relieved of their responsibilities at UF. Mike White was the same scenario. Therefore, same result. I don’t understand the problem.
Cal has six Final Four appearances MW has won a total of six tournament games one of these things is not like the other
I'm certainly not taking up for wingtee or his misguided hyperbolic complaints but Kentucky bought and played with a different level of talent for me to compare White with Calipari in any way
