Because the big donors get the bar and food area, not the students.

 

Who cares. How much do they really contribute? For football, it’s gazillions. For basketball? Doesn’t seem like it would be enough to matter…especially since they rarely show up for games.


I like the idea to put the students behind the benches and leave the camera as is. Hell, I’d be okay with the students on the entire lower bowl. Put the boosters in a club level type seat near those bars.

 

Solid point. I’m not hip to the entire setup.

 

They’re there for a lot of the games, they just aren’t in their seats.

 

Sounds similar to Miami heat games on their club level. My firm used to give me tickets to 9th row behind the bench but we rarely sat in the seats. Instead sat at a bar in the club level eating shrimp cocktail and drinking beers.
